I fail to see how I'm the retard when I'm the one who is having to explain this to you for the umpteenth time. I am saying American kandii girls are generally stupid. They only know Tiësto, and they only like what he plays. I am by no means saying they don't deserve to party, I am merely stating that they need to gain a broader scope of the scene. Thus, get educated and stop being idiots. I do realize that club kids started the American scene (what there is of it). I do respect them for this.
How, oh how, can I make this any clearer. I am giving up explaining this to you after this point. |

the point was that we don't get enough great dj's coming to america on a regular basis...which is something we'd like to see... |
True... I forget how spoiled we are in Toronto... Since December I've seen Armin, Tiesto, Christopher Lawrence, Steve Lawler, Benny B, and next week I'll be out for the Crystal Method followed a week later by Ferry.
You should move to TDot. |

who cares how anyone looks.... u dont like it, dont look.... thats wat i do... personally the only thing i find obnoxious is the way they dance, kinda like soldiers on l.s.d. with giant drums attached to the bottoms of their feet |
The way the candy raver's look is part of the reason people don't give the scene a chance.... they are scared off. |

ok i will try...
my point is that, this chick who made this post came in here with her nose in the air acting like she was the and her and her little Maybelline friends should have VIP access with back door entrance bcause they are "classy"(whatever:rolleyes:)....and candy kids should be banned because they are to begining of the end of the scene...
My point is that back in the day clubkids (real clubkids) made the scene in NYC the best it ever was...so i respect the oldschool ones....
I feel everyone and anyone has a right to go to the club,,,,assuming you dont start fights or anything dumb like that.....what gives anyone a right to say they can party and then say the person next to them can not? Pretension. |
*rereads first post*
ok now i'll try...
if you look at the picture that she posted...it is typical of what we are considering candyraver kids...i think you'll agree with that. now are these the people that you are refering to when you say the old skool "clubkids"? obviously not. maybe she didn't say what she was thinking in a way that you could understand it, but i'm positive that her point is that these kids are underaged...immature...and really most likely just hanging around the clubs to rebel against mommy and daddy.
i agree that they look stupid, but lets not even mention that...lets put that aside for a second...
now when you throw a bunch of these little kids into a club with adults...what is that going to do for the scene? absolutely nothing. i don't know about everyone else, but i don't wanna be dancing in a club with a bunch of little kids in it. the point that krysta was making as far as her appearance goes was that basically she is going out to have a great time with friends and they dress nice whatever, but the important thing is that they are adults and don't act like little kids.
now i look at that pic you posted from europe...what is different between those club kids and the ones she posted. well, the ones you posted are adults and have probably been clubbing forever...hence as you said...old skool club kids. that's cool...if that's their lifestyle i don't think anyone is gonna give a , but the pic that krysta posted shows a bunch of kids that are in the midst of some phase of teenage angst...and will most likely grow out of it in a couple of years.
really i think it just comes down to maturity. krysta is saying that she doesn't want a bunch of little kids in the clubs...and i agree. and what i've been trying to say...which i'll say again because i know you've been avoiding it...is that these kids put a stigma on EDM in america. when you here about raves or something on tv...it comes with the stigma that its a bunhc of 16 year olds...doing drugs...and listening to this wierd "techno" music. as long as there is that stigma in the united states...its hard for a club to grow in size and popularity... |

Again i can say the same about kids like you.
I remember 5 years ago seeing Tiesto in NYC and the crowd was cool...all Tiesto fans...NOW when i go see him in NYC there is a bunch of juice heads and chics that look like you swarming around....
I do not think it has to do with the way a person dresses...or what "click" u want to categroize them in....i think you are being a tad prejudice. |
