While we're recommending ridiculous vehicles, I'd like to put down the Westfield Megabusa.

Actually Chris I'd cancel them both...Vertigo & Mark T are pretty much BANG on with their advice....I'm licensed an S & T mechanic & I prefer Japanese HANDS down.Even when I used to fix them, they are just WAY better engineered (imo)..If I we're you I'd buy a used Honda civic or even an Accord like a 2000 or 2001...Don't buy new because its a waste of money...These cars are just as good used as they are new & STILL feel solid with no rattles & squeeks unlike a 3 to 4 year old domestic:rolleyes: ....I'd also stay faaaaaaaaar away from any German cars...they are finicky and are costly to fix....
Man for 25k you can buy a 2002 Nissan Maxima which is what my next car will be whenver my 1998 Maxima quits...I bought my car 2 years ago & it drives SOO nice.
As for the Vibe...it is basically a Toyota.A pal of mine at work has one & he loves it....
In any case....search the web for info and here's the place where I bought my car

My next car (after my focus SVT) will hopefully be another SVT, but hopefully little more family-esque (4-door, non-compact). Of course this depends on Ford's next SVT line-up (they have a new head of SVT who has ensured me that there will be new and exciting releases within the next 12 to 18 months). I admit, I'm an SVT convert for life.
If Ford doesn't get their SVT line in gear, then the plan is for a Volvo V50 T5-AWD (Auto). I just found out that the average life of a Volvo is 18 years! I don't plan to own any car that long, but at least the option exists... ;)
Take heed to what RobbyG says - buy used. Try to get an off- 24 month-lease vehicle - generally they are well maintained and have a good 4 to 5 years of life in them. Unless I get an SVT - I will not buy new again. |
