ps3 is suppose to eat xbox 2 alive. easily stronger and easier to develop (pg. 5)

Not to mention when you play the same game on both xbox and ps2, the ps2 versions always take longer to load sometimes they even have additional load screens to wait through. Basically I prefer xbox over ps2, I just think its an all around better system and thats before you mod it... then it gets serious! In the end I will buy an xbox 360. I feel MS is going to come out of these console wars at least even with sony if not the market leader. One main reason would be XNA. However no one will know until e3, then we get the actual specs and see the systems (hopefully) running games. :) |
Lest we forget that some kickass games like Chaos Theory get up to 2 points lower in ratings on PS2 than XBOX :stongue: |

Not to nit-pick, but you should not count games like doom3 and hl2 in here. First, games that are released on PC, then ported over are NOT exclusives. Second, I laugh at their pathetic nature. No port is a good port, least of all a PC to console port. The PC versions kick ass, specially if you have a rig capable of running them smoothly. Most of the exclusives, with the exception of Halo, are crap, and thankfully haven't soiled other systems. BOttom line is, the Xbox is FAR behind in software support than PS2, but hopefully that will not be the case with the next gen. |

Ninja Gaiden ruled. Jade Empire has a 9.9 on ign and gets mostly 9s by people. Even games like Chaos Theory, that are released on all systems, gets a rating higher on XBOX than PS2. |

thats all opinion.
Yea, I think that most xbox games are waaaay overhyped and a lot of the times their scores are a tad bit too high, but overall the xbox has had a really good number of quality titles, especially since it's MS's first console in the industry. |

| Ok, I agree, on both points. Considering that it is their first system, more, not bad at all. However, I just think they spend far too much effort on brand development and marketing than they do on game design, and that says a lot for a first system. |

we are talking about consoles and yes they are exclusive to the xbox because no other CONSOLE can run them

I agree to a point that most PORT's usually suck! Unless its not a port such as doom3 and half life 2 which are built from the ground up using the xbox hardware if you use you ing head and maybe research you would see that they aren't just porting code over to make it run on xbox they are actually rewriting the code specifically for the xbox!!(read designer interviews and blogs) Now with that said the pc versions are superior (if you have a $3000 rig) however if you only have a couple hundred bucks and want to play these games your not going to be buying a ps2... hell try running them on a $200 pc, not going to happen!

Really I wonder how many copies of ninja gaiden would sell if released for ps2? or fable? or jade empire? or unreal 2? or Forza Motorsport? or Starwars nights of the republic 1 and 2? or Panzar Dragon orta? or dead or alive 3? man the list goes on! The point remains a lot of the xbox exclusives aren't exclusive because the developer wants them exclusive... their exclusive because the ps2 simply cannot handle them! Everyone is always saying the ps2 has the games ... well start naming these awesome games off because I have a ps2 as well as xbox and there really isn't anything that good that cannot be beaten by something on the xbox

Sony's got grand theft auto (I know thats about to change), tekken, tomb raider (though not everybody likes them)gran turismo, wrc, final fantasy not to mentiod (NBNBNBNB, advnet children getting realesed 14 of september, tetsuya nomura said so, and jea: I have noe idea how to spell it)time crisis, burnout (do you get that on xbox?)
This is just a few and there are still heaps :)

GTA was released on XBOX, like you said nobody cares about tomb raider and other than that you named a few games. By the way yes we do get burnout on xbox :rolleyes:. As if time crisis is anywhere near as good sitting at home than it is in the arcades.
So you have those few games on your ty, featuresless PS2s, wow where do I sign up. How about Halo, Jade Empire, Project Gotham Racing, Ninja Gaiden, Fable, Doom 3, Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, MechAssault, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, etc. That's mainly ones off the top of my head "do you get that on ps2?".
Not to mention games that were rated higher on xbox than ps2 like Choas Theory, Brothers In Arms: Rode To Hill 30, even your coveted Burnout game which is apparantly only on PS2 (the third version of the game). |

It wouldnt be much of a surprise that they ARE better on the xbox, hence they have a more powerful cpu, better graphic card and the oppertunity to deliver DD sound...
anyway, I do like ps2 alot more... I bet you can compare this kinda post to a a ipod vs something, by that I mean the discussion will go on FOREVER |
