| I was trying to figure out why there was such a clear view of the Dome (I refuse to call it Rogers Centre)... No Gardner. What a difference that makes. |

| That looks pretty cool...more or less correct too...the only thing is that Trump Tower should be a little taller in this picture...and that Saphire building looks pretty sick as well! |

| If we get rid of the gardiner there wont be a downtown because everyone will move to the suburbs including offices. No one wants to be stuck in traffic for over an hour because someone didnt like how the gardiner looked. |

chicago's skyline is huge....i go there a couple times a year and it's awesome.........the two tallest buildings in the city are spread about a mile apart....it just looks insane driving up to it.........but as for toronto........the sapphire tower that they are going to build is going to add alot to the skyling....it's going to look awesome! |
yea chicago is a really cool city ... went there a couple of times last year as well ... their skyline is AT LEAST twice as big as ours ... HUGE and it looks crazy ...
ps. chicago is such a nice city, i was surprised at how clean and well kept it was (well the north side of the city hehe) and they have a kickass waterfront ... toronto would be smart to learn a few things from the windy city ...
pps. their transit system is 10X better than ours too

| pretty much any big city's transit system is better than ours. And NEWSFLASH... They also have really good highways as well! You CAN have both. |

Alternatives Jayx... alternatives. Eventually they will build another high volume freeway into downtown. They will have to at some point as the cost to maintiain the gardner will eventually exceed the cost of building a new highway... remember that thing was built with a finite lifespan (50-100 years is the norm). |

Yeah but compare us to any other North American city. The only city that can really compete with us on that level is chicago. |
Toronto could learn a lot from Chi-town. The art work along the waterfront and the cleanliness of the city are something to take note of - Such a beautiful place. Chi-town and Toronto people are very similar attitudes as well I find... |

That's a lot of development for the next couple of years. But then again, buildings are popping up everywhere. Couple of years ago Yonge&Sheppard was 'barren' but they've built so many new buildings there. THe pic looks very nice though. |

look at all those expressways going into the downtown core
also, Chicago has a decent public transit system
Chicago is the city Toronto wishes it could be. |
