it looks like they used Sim City 4000 to make the extra buildings. heheh.
I actually expected smog, like that found above L.A. and perhaps a monorail or hover-cars.
On a side, not... JAY!!... did you get my email? |

The only thing Toronto is good at is throwing great Trance/Techno/house parties and having some great clubs.
If ya want to see what a modern, PRO-ACTIVE city should look like then ...

I occasionally wonder how many of the people here that complain about the traffic situation in Toronto during rush hour have driven on freeways through Los Angeles during rush hour in the middle of August.
Never, ever again. |

Man, even SO if you put it next to Manhattan's skyline...DAMN we're small!!!! I love that skyline view from the Jersey bridge...*whistles* |
Ahhh I love that view....NICE!!! (hehe I am assuming you are reffering to the GW bridge???)
But the best view of all is coming back INTO the city on the LIE (Long Island Expressway) ....there is a part where the highway is elevated (right around Queens) and you can see the ENTIRE city skyline which is really hard to do (or maybe impossible) considering the city is soo damn big!!) Check it out sometime ;) |

I worked in Toronto years ago in the old Post Office bulding on the south side of Front Street just west of Hummingbird Centre and east of the railway station - is that P.O. building still there?
This Google satellite image is centered on the P.O. building or whatever is there now:

I lived around Bloor & Spadina. There was this big apartment-type building that might now be a retirement home called Senator David Croll building - was called Rochdale College back then. Lots of weed dealers in there and they were always being raided by the cops so they would announce raids on the building PA system and everyone would hide their stuff! They had no regular garbage removal, it was hippy chaos, so every few weeks they would just sweep huge loads of garbage from each floor straight into an elevator until it was packed, and then send the elevator down to the ground level to be shovelled out!
