Ah man, a couple of buddies of mine made it down to the pride parade last year (late June, and no I'm not gay), we only went cuz my buddy lived on Church and McGill and it was something to do. Anyways all of Church street was packed, there were people everywhere and the hightlight of the event was when we stopped at Church and Wellsley since we heard some pumping beats. This was around 4pm and Dr. Trance was spinning for a good 1hr and then the only the only Deko-ze came up and just blew the crowd away. We had just popped so we were loving it, dancing in the middle of the street on a hot sunday afternoon to some kick-ass tunes, Deko-ze span for about 2hrs till 8:30ish then Jelo came on and finished the night.
It was such an awesome party, wouldn't mind doing that again |

The activate stage at church and wellesley on Sunday night is my favorite part of pride every year. This year Jelo starts at 7 and deko-ze at 9 - or it may be the other way around. |

LOL!!! All this talk of gayness reminds me of a HILARIOUS bit from the Ali G show...I was looking for the Borat episode where he sings the national anthem at a rodeo (there's another thread somewhere...) and instead got one where Ali G plays that German EDM talk show host...frickin hilarious!!!!
He's at Daytona with a bunch of strapping, young, macho American males, and he tells them to get ready for his cue, when he raises his arm and they're all gonna scream, "YEAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
So when he's ready to start, he goes, "We're here at Daytona Beach with all these young people who like to be GAY!!!" and when he raises his arm, a few of them actually screamed out but a few were confused and the looks on their faces was PRICELESS!!!! LOL!!! |
