First of all, that's rude and disrespectful. Second of all, umm I'm Shanny's girlfriend, so he's not gay. And third of all, maybe you're the one that's not comfortable with your sexuality.

Anyway...I've always wanted to go to Pride Week...one of my old friends used to go all the time, and it sounded like he had an amazing time. Plus seeing Dekozee on a parade float would be sweet! And it's right after my b-day...yeaa!!

No way man, I do NOT want to see anyone having sex in public, straight or gay. It's demeaning.

....and no, porn is not the same thing. :disbelief

I was just saying this the other day. We have ethnic festivals and gay festivals yet we dont have any plain old common music festivals. Wemf is the only festival we have and thats a great party and all, but its not in toronto. d like to see huge street parties in toronto on par with gay pride but in celebration of music.

regarldess...it's pretty irrelevant to enjoying hearing him perform...definitely one of our best local DJs :toocool:

this parade is the only time trance and house are blarred on the streets of toronto!!!!

Its a very funny and fun place to be as well!

I wish the world was as happy as the people were in this parade. Its great to see laughter and jokes all day long.

And Sunquest... i think a trance parade would be AWESOME!!!

For me the Pride Parade in Toronto is a celebration of our differences (same sex loving/epic vocal euro house/progressive bois and gurls) within a mainly (opposite sex loving house/trance guys and gals) society.

It is the biggest event in North America (gay wise - I think). Many people from the US and other countries come because it is an open, exciting and fun loving event (dare I say hedonistic)!!

In regards to the nakedness and fornication..things can get carried away at the "celebration" but just like at many clubs in the city....(ahem...HOWELLS -- System -- last friday) someone somewhere sometimes while "celebrating" has one "thing..." too many and many an ass or boob / dick or poon are shown.....if ya got it flaunt it!! (though it does seem to be the ones that don't "got it" are flauntin' it...) :happy2:

So those who have not gone - do not be afraid - half the people there are straight (you will be in good company) It is one of the only events that you (hets) can TRULY show your support/pride for your "gaybours". Taking yourself out of your straight environment/protective shield and coming to PRIDE will impress most anyone that DESERVES an impression.....

Another thing that is quite fun about it is the fact that every year (like my first Pride in '96) young people from across Canada come to take part in the almost "ritual" indoctrination that is Pride (finding like-minded others, being accepted, forging strong friendships, incredible sexual experiences, wikkid dance parties...)for those who lack gay communities/groups in which they live Pride is a liberating and sometimes life changing experience. What better stories to come back home with than "I had so much fun partying at Church and Wellesley, an awesome DJ spinning tracks in which I loved dancing not being afraid/ashamed of who I am and meeting so many gay and excepting straight people - best time of my life up until now...".....coming home to rural Ontario or rural Canada anywhere is that much easier knowing that it is just your "town" that's ed in bigotry and prejudices and not you!

Like the TOTA's we embrace each other and want others to join in our celebrations.....Trance is our Pride! (I agree the music at some the pride events could be better...diva vocal house...but with Deko-Ze, Jelo, Sydney Blu, Miss Mixington....and others...the beats will be a bit more varied and dare I say trance tinged).....Deko-ze has to represent in this way - a Gay DJ who spins the full gamut of house and progressive....and does so well that all scenes love him.....(attitude goes a long way in making it as a DJ) KUDOS to you MIKEY!! From day one of meeting you - I connected with you, you never snubbed me and I truly consider the fact that I know you - one of my valuable relationships here over the last four years....(when TIESTO dropped/ opened with KILLAH - W.O.W. I sooo wished you were there....(I'm copying you on this bud since ya don't post here... :)

So don't let some of the shocking aspects of Pride scare anyone from coming out and enjoying one the BEST weather weekend outing you will have all summer...(sun sun sun - all weekend...almost consistently for the last 8 years).

Those with your prejudices and hatred (drunk and pissed up middle class white heads - I.M.E.) - watch it as some of those so called nelly "fags" can kick your sorry ass back to Woodbridge.

last year the party at Church and Wellesley was a tease (pleasently/unexpectedly)- this year will be the bomb!!!! TA's represent!!!!!!!!!!

WOOT WOOT!!!! :tongue3
