LOL if you beleive they are just stories how can you say there is evidence of them being true, in the rolling mountains of Turkey?

Many claims are made for sighting of the remains of the Ark in the mountains of Turkey. These Ark-pieces are supposed to be about 9000 feet up the side of one mountain; these mountains are not gently rolling hills. They're huge great things covered with snow and full of jagged crevices. The mountain goats, birds and flying squirrels could have probably got down safely (as long as they didn't freeze or starve on the way), but elephants, penguins, camels and crocodiles are not noted for their natural mountaineering ability.

So let me get this straight - Noah, at the ripe old age of 600, and his sons built, using their bare hands, a seagoing vessel large enough to house a pair of every land animal on the planet for at least 40 days? This boat would of been bigger than a super-tanker to house the millions of species on the land.

No matter what time of year it was, many creatures would be hibernating (it's always winter somewhere). Many creatures are only found on one continent; indeed some are limited to a small island/forest/mountain. It's a neat trick to be able to walk thousands of miles to the Middle East if you're hibernating on a remote island near Alaska.

Modern shipyards build large ships from metal, as wooden ships beyond a certain size simply cannot support their own weight.

What did the carnivores eat?

How did all the creatures manage to get to and from the Ark from their natural habitats, long journey.

Noah had to set about repopulating the world. Again, incest in the bible rears its ugly head. (Just as an aside, as all people before Noah were now dead, how does anyone know if the other events in the O.T. are true? We only have Noah's word for it, surely?). The human race effectively began again with Noah & co.

They usually state that dinosaurs died during the Flood. But why didn't Noah take any of these dinosaurs on the Ark? The Bible says he took two of every land animal. Also, if the fossil record was indeed created during the flood, then why do we consistently find that the lower down you go, the smaller the fossils become? If all the land animals died during the flood, we would expect the fossil record to be a hopelessly jumbled mess, with human bones being mixed up with dinosaur bones and Trilobites. What we actually find is a neatly layered set of strata that appear to be in chronological order, showing the evolutionary development from early, simple creatures up to modern, complex creatures.

God, who can create or destroy entire galaxies with no effort at all, has to get some poor slob to build an enormous ship, transport millions of animals from all over the planet to this ship, flood the entire planet, drain the water and then redistribute the animals again and repopulate the earth?

Why not just click his fingers and cause everything to be as he wishes it to be?

Why go to the trouble of causing the terrible deaths by drowning of billions of animals, birds, insects and humans? This includes, of course, all those innocent babies and children who haven't had time to even start sinning yet.

Drowning babies... Quite odd behavior for an all-powerful, infinitely compassionate God, is it not?

Common sense FOOOO!

We will never know the answer why to some things....or if they ever were, however I can tell you one thing, great determination can overcome anything.

If you were on a god damn island with no way out and wanted to get off and you were 600 years old you would build a damn boat out of sticks and twigs with your bare hards. So why couldnt this so called "Noah" make an arc for something he beleived in. Could this "god" have given him the power to do this? or was this a test of faith?

Also in regards to the animals etc they do say that throughout evolution creatures tend to adapt to theyre environment for survival. Who knows what type of animals these were back then and if they are the animals we know today.

We can go according to history but none of us where physically around back then so we cant say for sure. All we can do is listen to these stories of the history and formulate our own thoughts on what the truth is. I dont trust history very much without evidence because to me its like word of mouth, once passed down to too many people (in this case generations) the story tends to steer further away from what actually happened.:clown:

And who is to say its not all some sort of conspiracy and we are just being force fed this "history" and accepting it without question. Sorry I am a bit paranoid so my mind always thinks that way. :haha: :tongue2

i heard the first 30 minutes of cd 1 on my way to work...

the solar stone vocals are hooooooooorid. "Why" sucks as well. I dont like how there really isnt an intro, like isos 3.

And the programming is quite over the place. He should have played la noche with roads. It would have sounded much better.

La noche is def a cool track so maybe it will pick up a bit.

We are in the 21st century, surley you can not beleive people live to 600!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The boat that would have been built to hosue all those species could not be made out of wood...it would collapse from its enormous size. Have you ever seen what it takes to build a ship? YOu need many tools that Noah and posse simply did not have. It's a story - nothing more and nothing less.

There were dinosaurs....why didnt he take them? There were carnivores..how did he manage to load them on the ship without being eaten? There were species that only live in Antartica..how did Noah grab them thenw alk back to the Middle East? I am almost 30 and can barely walk 30 miles...yet Noah , at 600, walked 4,000? With a carnivore?

The bible should never be used as a history book...maybe mythology.
