There were dinosaurs....why didnt he take them? There were carnivores..how did he manage to load them on the ship without being eaten? There were species that only live in Antartica..how did Noah grab them thenw alk back to the Middle East? I am almost 30 and can barely walk 30 miles...yet Noah , at 600, walked 4,000? With a carnivore?
The bible should never be used as a history book...maybe mythology. |

You do state valid points and logically you are correct in your assumptions. I am not on anyones side either. I never said this trip was successful but I dont doubt that parts of this story contain some truths and possibly did occur. Whatever the case may be something may be or may be not noahs ark was found, that is at least some type of evidence of something. If Noah was gods loyal servant could God have granted a miracle for him? See just about everything in this topic could lead to religious beliefs vs. history vs. logic vs. science |

One thing people fail to mention when they talk about the pieces of wood found in Turkey, is that they were not the same type of wood thought to be used for the Ark. At the end of that program they say that it is highly unlikely that it was any evidence pointing at the Ark...so that whole thing was bunk.
Also dont mind me...i am a huge skeptic...i tend to beleive what i can see enormous evidence for. If someone told me they have a UFO in their garage, i want to see it or they are insane in my book.
I am also anti-Bible and religion - NOT anti-God. I beleive in a God...just not any tied to organized religion. I have a God - but i do not exploit him nor do i think he would do any of the things as barbaric and putrid as you would read in the Bible. I am a Secular Humanist bordering on Deism. |

I beleive in a God, I pick and choose truths out of all religions that seem to be consistent regardless of beleifs. |

Well its nice to see that....thats how i think people should do it....with reason and logic.
I feel that if people spend so much time deciding whether or not they are a democrat, republican, progressive, conservative, liberal or any other political side...then they should do the same with their religion....and not be indoctrinated into it by birth...syaing "I am christian cus my parents are" is a joke......people need to research..... |

completely agree. I was born catholic and was sent to sunday school as a child, yes imagine me at sunday school :haha:
I started noticing areas of theyre bible where they contradict themselves so I decided to switch. Became born again Christian and that didnt hold my interest either so I decided why limit myself or rather why have a religion at all of I cant prove everything I am beleiving in.
I beleive in something but I dont know enough about it to explain to anyone what it is if that makes sense.
