While EDM infact can be considered as commercial, it can't be compared to the commercialism of MTV's Usher & CO. I know there are lots of people who feel the same way about this. |

there's no reason why you can't remix pop, r'n'b, rock, polka and what not into EDM, especially if it's done so good like Sander's remix. |

That's irrelevant. Both EDM and r'n'b/hiphop qualify as "commercial ", because they both end up in the charts and both have mass appeal. And either way, this has nothing to say whatsoever on how the tune will end up sounding. I didn't see you nor anyone else complain when people started bigging up the remixes of Vengaboys for instance, because people liked the end result. |

To be honest, a lot of the tracks on the first Vengaboys CD had a housey feel and it was one of the CDs that started getting me into EDM. It sounds stupid but this was like grade 6 for me. |

That wasn't my point. Vengaboys will be considered cheese/trash by most people here in their original form, like Usher is in this case. However, when MIKE, Airscape and Transa remixed their tunes, noone complained about it cos they liked them. |
