if they do just remake the styles of the original from a midi then they are really dumb as lets face it their remix wont get signed lol

but as long as they tweak the notes of the origi mel or completely mess around with it, it can lead to some seriously cool mixes etc.. probably the benefits outweigh the cons in my opinion but as you said its all personal opinion ;)

lol, the remix aint getting signed, the prize is the opportunity to remix further MPFS release with the possibility to it getting signed :)

Subtle: you can get the key of the track from the vocal alone :)

Omg, cheezy vocals! Gotta love'em :D
I think midi's can be helpfull to look at before you start. But thats all. I don't think I would use somebody elses work just like that. Gotta make it in your own style!

I honestly don't understand the fuzz about the midi file? Come on, it's such a very handy tool - why miss out on it?

Let me put it this way... if you haven't been musically trained, it'll take you very long to be able to create a melody around the vocal parts. Which means less time for the remix and less time to be 'creative' with countermelodies and such.

Midi file in this case gives people help in understanding how melodies are built along the vocals. How they do the rest - be it even for fun - is their own choice.

So bring on that midi! ;)

ill try and sort a mid file ;)

the midi file would be good if someone wants to do an instrumental remix and only keep the original melody

Its to my understanding there never was a midi. Alucard got the mp3 accapella off a bloke named Jaimo who is remixing Yana Kays album and from there created our second release (thankfully with minimal vocals! haha!) This accapella was passed onto many artists who have created stunning remixes, some of which are available for free download on MPFS.

We'll look for a midi, go to the source at EMI Latvia but i honestly don't think there is one, and judging by the results conjured up by Alucard, (i dont make tracks myself so cant back up this claim) i wouldnt of thought it tooooo hard to create a masterpiece surely?

Looking forward to hearing all efforts tho... :)

MIDI file:whip: :D

The vocals are ultra cheezy.
I'll go for a dub I think.

this could be fun..but I have 2 questions..
why are the vocals with delay and reverb?
no bpm?
Massive84
the whole remix is for fun.

You guys shouldn't make a big deal out of it, either try or don't.
