we have a great lifestyle on the back of previous generations. What i see and what i fear most do not is that right now its being eroded by massive debts and high taxes. We have to admit that our generation is not nearly as comfortable as previous ones despite the social saftey net that we allegedly have. |

So please tell us now how you will pay for all the promises without running a deficit, without raising taxes, and without breaking your promises.
This should be interesting. |
I really don't care about the usual political crap that they get into as I know the conservatives or the NDP would be a disaster for Ontario...
So really, we have the best were gonna get.

And what you are forgetting is that this surplus came from massive cuts in spending such as health care by the federal liberals resulting in downloading onto the provinces. This along with other services such as housing which the liberals also got out of. People label Harris as the slash and burn guy meanwhile Martin did more cutting than anyone in the last 12 years. |
I'm a bit confused here -- are you supporting the Conservatives or the NDP?
You made a very valid, and scary point how the Liberals have been moving further and further to the right (by cutting social services) and undermining the general public to satisfy corporate interests.
Now -- you do realize that the Conservatives/Republicans are a party essentially _based_ on that premise.
If you want more social spending and fair allocation of resources, you should be supporting the NDPs or Greens...

Man, the scandals ....... will they end and will people in Gov. be held responsible for this ?(jail)........guess not. Considering that there are 30 million or more Canadians and each hour they get deducted say....... 50 cents of each dollar they make thats what 15 million dollars this country make an hour................... hmn........... I know thats a rough estimate but remember there is also money they make for hundreds of other taxes and other things............ and we are in debt BS! ......... they spend and make friends and we sit at the end of a bar and bitch ******s. Down with Criminals, i know some but they feed families with that money not fill there friends pockets to "get everyone in on it rich" Oh and Hi :):D :eyes: :haha: :nervous: :tongue3
I met a Wealty Portugese Contracter who is just relishing in the fact that this country is making him rich and all he has to do is make is political contributions and he is set and also laughs at people for taking it up the ass...... HAHAHAHHA! oh wait a minute hes laughin at me.... hmnnnnnnnnnnn im tired of it and instead of voting the devil I know I will vote the devil I dont. |

I support smart cuts and reform and more funding where needed. What i do not support is the status quo or throwing good money into bad programs which is what the NDP stands for. And "what is needed" varies from what socialists think what is needed. |

So you're saying you support the Green Party then? |

As for the separatist comments...showing that nerds of the internet have made their own organizational websites that oppose federalism has no merit in this discussion. There are Northern Ontario Separtist parties...so like thats just stupid... Just because 100 people dont want ot be part of Canada means . Have you been the the states...???? All politics/governments are corrupt. Basically its all just a business and whom ever is in power they become rich.
Anyway, Liberals all the way, id like to keep my freedoms, and giving the power to the conservatives would only give white straight men in Canada wealth and power...Conservatives would destory the country, or jsut keep the money in the top 3% of the upper classes.

Its much more than a 100 my friend...and it's not really a wish to separate from Canada...more of a wish to seperate from a corrupt federal government

You're kidding yourself if you think any other party will enable wealth and power to anyone besides the status quo. Economics dictate politics...not the other way around. |

They, the Bloc, and an independant MP tried to get rid of the most corrupt government in the history of the country, and you call their conduct deplorable? You need to get your priorities straight.

then let me say that there are many, many Tory officials (which I refuse to start naming *cough* starting with Mulroney *cough, cough**) have been and are currently under investigation for backdeals and corruption...and thus far, have eluded prosecution. |
Like who... names and details of said corruption, please.

The werd in and around the court houses right now is that no one trusts the Tories...and Harper will never be elected. |
How was their loyalty to the Lieberals bought and sold?

funny.... because that EXACTLY describes what the Lieberals have done in the past 12 years!

No amount of Liberal scandal has managed to accomplish what the Tories have in such a short time. |
I think you need to talk to people from OUTSIDE Ontario once in a while. |

The federal government, with Martin as Finance Minister, downloaded its deficit onto the provinces. Haven't you heard of the "fiscal imbalance?"
An intellectually honest comparison would therefore include provincial deficits. |
