You lied, you cheated, you backstabbed, you sold out our tax dollars and you have now been rewarded.

So please tell us now how you will pay for all the promises without running a deficit, without raising taxes, and without breaking your promises.

This should be interesting.

Dear Dr. Laura,

I get this horrible pain in my dong every time I fry bacon without pants on.

Do I have AIDS?

No, son, that's your girlfriend biting you while you fry bacon without your pants on.

Dear Mr. Harper,

Now that a confidence vote has been won by the sitting gov't, will you pledge to work with them, and the other political parties, for the betterment of all Canadians...or will you continue to use whatever means necessary to gain power?

i think he should calm down now i agree.... he did his best and now its said and done...

Funny how he neglected to respond when Martin asked exactly that in a point of order after the vote.

well im sure he has to talk to his cabinet before he makes a statement. That would be the most democratic thing to do i would think.

No, a leader does not go and consult when he's called out in the House.

He responds.

He didn't have to make any commitments...

At this rate Mr. Harper is vying for the title of "Mr. Dithers". ;)

The best thing for Canada is for the Lieberals to go.

All he did was vote against a budget amendment and a couple of other things last week. Harldly "any means necessary."

In contrast, Martin has truely done "everything necessary" to keep power.

He spent or promised to spend $26 billion in 3 weeks, including bribing certain provinces. He courted Stronach over with a Cabinet seat, and tried to make deals with others (caught on tape!). He went on national TV when there was no pressing national crisis - only a Lieberal Party crisis.

Have you not followed the news at all in the past 3 or 4 weeks? Or are you just selectively ignoring things?

What commitments do you think he should make? Specifics please...

Harper said he was "embarrassed" that parliament had decided to to maintain its confidence in a "corrupt party."

Harper also praised his caucus in the wake of rumours and accusations that Liberals were offering Conservatives plum positions to change their vote.

"You have resisted every opportunity to take unethical payoffs and rewards and you've stuck by your principle," he said.

yes...he'll get his chance in the next election.

In the meantime, I'd like to see ALL of our elected officials do what we pay them to do...run our country...and run it TOGETHER as best they can.

No two major parties should be *so* radically opposed in their agendas so as to completely disagree on every major issue...it's time for the posturing, mud slinging and pissing matches to stop...and to get some work done.
