WTF?!?! Everyone's too tired to go online right now?!?! This is the first thing I was looking forward to on my way home this morning...HIGHER PRIORITY THAN SLEEP!!!! What is with you people? LOL!!

Wow what a night...Desidel and E2EK1EL really know how to throw a party...everything I said about System from Scumfrog is TOTALLY retracted and I deserve 100 lashes for doubting the awesomeness of this venue. WHAT A NIGHT. Anyone who thinks System is sketchy (something I heard from a few people) can go suck a dick...uh...you're my friends so please take that as tongue-in-cheek! ;) LOL!

Crowd = 10/10
Vibe = 11/10
Music = 12/10

I learned today that DDTT is a sham and doesn't exist as a genre...I will have to find the thread in which RJ proved this through his research. However, whatever that music was (prog. house or what have you) was bloody amazing...I was totally in TUNE with it and danced my PAKI ASS off.

Night began with an awesome dinner meet, where I finally met Marg, Endlesswave (EW ;) LOL), Richard Taylor, Kenneth Thomas, Amb, and James (Enraptured). TOTAs I already knew and love: Karen, Sean, Christina were already there, with a few more people.

Then we we walked over to System at like 10 pm. I didn't want to enter that early so I called up walkindude who lives at Blue Jays Way and Front, and he told me to meet him and some friends at Horseshoe Tavern at Spadina and Queen. Live bands were playing and I heard some of the best rock that I've heard in a while...it was really refreshing to hear those live, natural sounds, and I started moving to the rhythm as a perfect warm up to a night of EDM.

Went over just before midnight to System to catch the free cover (LOL cheap Paki) and I met Lipstick in the lineup. She didn't disappoint; she has my vote as the COOLEST hair style in TOTA. I LOVE HER HAIR!!!!! (Kelly, you're right up there too, hun!!! MISSED YOU!!!  )

Then I met all these other wonderful TOTAs that I never met before: John Tang, Desidel, RJ, Girllovingtvibe, Cono_sur, Gamma, Risingdetroit (was it you or muzzybear that I met?) and I'm sure others whose names I forget! :( Saw some known faces: Sgt. Foo, Fuad, Jenna Rae...

I enjoyed the music soooooooo much. The two rooms were rockin it all night. Started with Gamma in the main room...WOW his beats were amazing. Don't know any tracks, unfortunately, but the deep bass was owning me. Then this dynamic duo Deep Groove shows up and blows my mind...I was totally HOOKED on this body-shocking music...HEARTED it...and of course DJ Mute...all three performances were first-rate; I had JUST as much fun as I've had at the major top-10 DJ events...HONESTLY.

Took some breaks to go see DJ 24_7...RICH you are amazing bro!!! That front room was jampacked with people totally soaking in the trance. REALLY well done and you had a lot of excitement and energy for the crowd, bro!!! CHEERS!!! After his performance I went back to the main room to get ready for Kenneth Thomas.

This man impressed me just as much as Dennis Hahn. I'm SO PROUD to be in the same online community as these two. Kenneth, SO MUCH energy and SUCH an awesome tracklist. Loved every song you played. I almost charged the DJ booth when this song came on and I asked the bouncer to ask Kenneth what song it was. I'm so disrespectful; KT was in the MIDDLE of his set...and STILL gives the bouncer the name: (which I wrote down on a napkin) CLOSE ENOUGH - KIO (sp?) WHAT A TRACK!!!

I have to say that Lipstick, Girllovingtvibe, and Christina have the most amazing dance moves and the most energy I've seen in a TOTA (again, Kelly, you're right up there! ;)) Lipstick, it was SOOOOOOOOO fun dancing with you...your water was SUCH a gift from heaven...needed it SO badly! Penny, three words: W-O-W. You made the night amazing, always smiling and joining me on the dance floor on several occasions. Karen was there too, being one of the most beautiful people there with her non-stop gorgeous smile!!!! Always a treat when you're at the same event, Karen...I will have to follow you around!!! LOL!!! Don't be :nervous:!!! LOL! And of course Christina, who was dancing on these REALLY uncomfortable looking platform shoes...this woman was MADE to dance! ;)

Sean is prolly one of the best male dancers in TOTA (LOL, not THAT kind!!!)...your moves are wikked and it was cool hanging with you in the smoking section...this guy is one of my FAVE TOTAs and I really hope you're at every event I'm at...it would never be the same without you. LOL remember that guy who came up to us and told us some other guy asked him if he could perform fellatio on him!!!! LOL!!! Good times...:wtf:

Had to leave the night early (5 am) because I need to save some energy for Danny T. My GOD I can't wait...

EDIT:
OMFG I just saw Irish Graham on the forum...HOW THE COULD I FORGET THIS GUY!?!?!?!?!!? This guy was bouncing around like a muthaa....HOLY it was SO FUN to be with you on the dance floor, dude...HOLY HOLY HOLY !!!!

And this reminds me of HIGHROLLER!!!!!!!!!!!! DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE WHAT AN AWESOME TIME!!!! So cool talking university with you and guy, YOU'VE GOT MAD ENERGY TOO!!!! You Grahams have some genetic superiority when it comes to dancing...you guys ROCKED the dance floor!!!!!!:eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:   :eyespop:

Please forgive me for forgetting to mention you above!!!!!:(

so 24_7 is who was on in the front room when I got there? great stuff...put a smile on my face within seconds of walking in and seeing a room full of many familiar faces :)

got there shortly before KT went on after going for drinks at 5ive...yes 5ive...some decent house was to be heard, I must admit...more than a couple of tracks that I heard there were dropped at System later on...fun.

so yeah...caught some of DJ 24_7's set...loved it...hit the patio to blaze...came in for KT who *rocked*...awesome set..."hard edgy progressive house" with some good trance too...glad he gave us both :D KT seemed to be enjoying himself too...yay for DJs who don't bury their heads in the decks. A semi-regular thing should be setup at System for him :whip:

TAs...Nat, Graham, Jay, Chris, Sean, Graham, Ray, Schryer, Cuzo, DigiNut...nice to see ya...until Sunday :D

I've rediscovered System, I think...I had a great time tonight and last week for Scumfrog...so much better than being rammed inside at Guv for Ferry.

Great review fayraree. :)

First off, mad respectz to the INT3RF3R3NC3 posse (John & Emery) for giving TOTA's finest a place to shine. Unfortunately i was only able to catch the last 1 1/2 hours of the show (luckily it featured breaks -- my favorite ;)). Even without reading the review I know I probably missed some awesome sets...won't happen for the 3rd anniversary party, I promise. ;)

Great seeing so many familiar faces at the bash...and meeting a few new one's as well. It goes without saying that almost everyone i've met from TOTA has always been mad cool (naturally). Finally, thanks to John for the hookup and the ride home. You're the man, bro. :)

Miki - I'll see you in the orange room. Breaks 4 life ! :D
MaxQ & DJ Science - Great Set. Loved the last few tracks.

Next on the agenda...

Republik followed by FREEDOM !!!!!! :eyes:

I could have danced all night in those too! Unfortunately, work is a priority and I ended up bookin it really early...

Had a great time with everybody :) Special thanks to James for the ride down. :) (and the use of the arm pouch.....and the safekeeping of my pants..... and making me wear the skirt!!! I really love it!) And thanks to Chris (Amb_) for organizing the meet up. Kenneth Thomas was really awesome and down to earth! Was great to see the TA crew out in effect. Congrats to John and Emery for 2 awesome years of awesome parties...good work boys :)

Actually, no. U came in during Ortemy's set, right after I did. ;)

I am running on some bad streak of luck, haivng missed Rich's sets for the THIRD TIME since he's been back. :whip: I was there shortly after opening, but headed over to REpublik to do my Fri nite duties of taking photos. Returned as soon as that was completed, but obviously something was sacrificed. :(

Happy 2nd anniversary, Interference! Another quality lineup by our boys. You do so much for our scene, and I really appreciate it (& I'm not even one of the DJ's who reputations u helped build!).
Came in during Carlos V's set, expecting to see Mobius on the decks, with yet 'another DJ name change, lol. Nice groovy house to start the night off.
Ray- what a way to open a set, with the theme of "Star Wars"! :haha: How apropos!
Ortemy- I have to say, a much improved performance from the last time. Really loved it. Did catch Rich on the decks w/you a bit later for a minute.
Dan (DJ Mute)- great energetic command of the main room.
Kenneth Thomas- wow..... I see great things for this guy. As I said last night: "Can we keep him? huh? huh? can we keep him?" Detroit is so lucky to claim him as their own. INCREDIBLE! Someone needs to give this guy a residency (hint hint).
And finally Max Q & DJ Science- I managed to last part-way into their set, but bed was calling. Hope it ended well- u seemed to be having a blast up there.

Of course, it wouldnt be a party w/out the TA's. Too many to name... but Ryan Mino- where did u go? As usual, things always pull us apart in these public settings. :( Have fun at the cottage. James sweetiepie- so happy to have u by my side on the dance floor. Your happiness is contagious. Sean, u sexymuthaa! love ya babe. Ryan Parks- awesome swapping pics with ya during down time. luv ya babe! Frank & Richelle make the perfect dancing duo. Fahad- nice to see u having a blast again. Chris (amb)- hope u have a nice time in town. And last but not least- Francis, who went thru hell & high water to get here to spend a short 36 hrs of time with us.

That was probably the last time I'll see most of ya til next month, when we return from Israel on the 15th. Keep the 18th open (during the afternoon) for my b-day, where we'll probably throw a BBQ in the backyard, as Fuad is strongarming me into it. As long as he spends all day on the grill, it wont be a problem. ;) I'll arrange the plans while we're away.

Take care, everyone!

I would have no problem at that..but I suck at the grill. Unless you guys want over/under cooked food! :)

You and Graham have fun in Israel. Take Care

You should be coming WITH US!!!
dEsidEL

it's hard to believe that it's been almost 2 years to the day since John and I threw the first TA Invasion party @ System Soundbar. Over that time a lot has changed. The scene has changed, the DJs have changed, the club has changed, but one thing that remains constant is the crazy vibe and spirit that TOTAs will always bring out !

One thing that has kept us going over these past 2 years is seeing and having the most amazing times with our friends & fellow partiers on the dancefloor and being able to know that we can have just as much fun throwing an event than going to one. it's been an extremely fufilling experience being able to see our own TOTA DJs tear it up and be able to party to their music.

So from the bottom of my heart, i'd like to thank everyone who has supported us in these 2 years esp. our amazing DJs and photographers, and everyone else who has been involved in helping to make this all possible. A BIG BIG thanks go out to our DJs who played last nite..

GAMMA
DJ MUTE
DEEP GROOVE
MAX Q
DJ SCIENCE

DJ 24_7 aka. RICHARD TAYLOR
ORTEMY
& the Rampant Crew

Special thanks also goes out to our guest for the nite, Mr. KENNETH THOMAS for bringing his Detroit sound to our special anniversary party.

*shouts to our always hard working photographers for the nite: Ryan Parks and Tatgirl.
*bigUPS also to the BK TV video crew (Zak) who filmed most of the nite, which we are delighted to bring you in the near future, so look out!

All in all it was a great party and another very memorable experience. It was nice to see a lot of old faces and many new ones. A sincere thanks to everyone who came out last nite, even if it was for a short time to celebrate with us. And even to those who couldn't make it out, your support has been greatly appreciated!

Sometimes I feel that it's time to move on, and pursue other hobbies outside of my free time, but sometimes it's difficult to turn away and just forget about all the people who have stuck with you for so long and gave you reason to go on. It's hard to say what direction 1NT3RF3R3NC3 will take in its 3rd year, but one thing is for certain .. as long as you guys are having fun, we will continue to do what we have been doing and we hope to for many more years to come !

much love

What a goofball statement. Pre-01:30ish not much DDTT played @ SystemS on Friday. A track here, a track there - not non-stop DDTT.

Sounds like the sham could be inability understand what DDTT is (check the thread for ky's def'n and related discussion), or ability to to discern it (check out the tunes listed in the thread and try to pick out the similiarities).

--then again, this isn't a DDTT thread, so back on topic--

Great night out. Unfortunate that my schedule required me to part after Rich's set - but for the few hours I was there the night was top notch.

Thanks and congratulations to 1NT3RF3R3NC3 for the years of good times and good tunes.

gamma's set in the main room was on point, ass shakin' - Esperanza = ubertune! ^5

richard's set in the front was full effect, hands in the air - Taurus = ubertune! ^5

AWESOME set from both Ray & Richard. It's always a treat to hear friends playing out. Sorry to those who played after - I have some travel plans for the weekend and had to depart.

I'll repeat - overall a great night out. Great to see everybody out (too many names to list, you know who you are). See y'all at DannyT on Sunday.

well actually there was some. Korhan in the front room at the end spun some DDTT. Some really really dirty lyrics.

Not only that DJ Mute really put down some nice tracks.
