Yeah, that was me, and i was waiting for BT SO much, and he paid off. Josh Gabriel was telling me that he was in a bad mood (why he finished his set 15 mins early) so if thats how he plays when he's in a bad mood, i'd love to see him play when hes in a good mood...

Hey Narcism,
I think we can be heard singing in the Dreaming & No One On Earth videos because he happens to be filming right near where we were standing.

Wow was everything i hoped it would be and more! Arrived and was inside the gates in less than 5mins, such a massive improvement over last year!! Got to the main arena as Steve was playing Halcyon and almost had a heart attack and it just got better from there! Tried to spot the only TA i recognise (matt.h) but couldnt find the short ass and quickly retreated to the back.
Can anyone tell me the name of the track G&D played about 3 or 4 tracks into their set and the breakdown is set off by male vocals saying "OK!" then all hell breaks loose...? Pretty lame description i know.
:disbelief
Arcadia, Zocalo, Around You.... G&D tore the roof off!
Dreaming, Godspeed, Flaming June.... BT rocked my world!
Air For Life, Alone Tonight, No One on Earth.... A&B iced the cake!
Bring on GK06 haha! |

MASSIVE night, what an experience to remember...
MY highlight of the night was Nick Warren.
he played choon after choon after choon.
possible one of the best sets i have heard.
always love hearing steve strangis play.
BT and G&D where awsome, i wasnt happy that G&D didnt play original version of arcadia, but still enjoyed the version they played:tongue2
overall 10/10 night cannot wait for next big event... |

Dude Nick Warren was OMG! Would have to agree with you on the quality of his set. I would rate it in the top 2 sets i've ever heard from anyone in the last 4 years. Just blew me away with the most amazing prog tunes that had so many awesome rhythms and dreamy synths through them. G&D played a pretty wicked set and BT was also impressive once again. Didn't see much of above & beyond unfortunately cos i got emersed in nick warren's set and couldn't leave cos it was too amazing. 10/10 night and really one to remember! |

i think overall it was a pretty average night for me, g&d were good, the last few songs especially, a&b i didn't get into much except for a couple of tracks, they all sounded the same to me, steve was good, love 'cages', where did you get it? i need it :eyespop:
overwhelming highlight was bt, i don't know what the hell happens when he goes to sydney, because he just banged it out, it was all pumping trance, played all his classics, place was going nuts, it was brilliant! too bad he finished early :( he seemed upset that g&d were playing so fast at the end of their set but maybe he was just mucking around with them. really good performance, a lot more energy than two tribes last year, made me come alive :D
hanging with alex cooke was good for a few laughs hehe. i tried saving a couple of videos on my mobile, in one you can hear him going "ONE TWO THREE FOUR!!" and banging on the fence hehehe.
had to leave early to get some sleep for work, walked out to where the taxis come and there is this queue of 20 people, this taxi comes up and asks the first couple of people where they were going, and he knocked them back haha. then he yells out 'anyone going to glen waverly? or anywhere far like that?' i yell out 'im going to oakleigh' 'down freeway to warrigal rd?' 'yeah man!' 'ok come on! haha skipped 20 people in the line, i get into the taxi and all these people go 'awww no fair' haha suckers.
well i guess in review music wise i enjoyed moments but not a whole lot overall. didnt risk going to other arenas in case it took too long to queue so dunno what happened with hybrid or warren or luke fair or anyone, best fun was easily BT and hanging with other TAs at the front :)
jol: a&b did a remix of 'what it feels like for a girl', so i guess thats what they played :)
virginia l: haha you even got to meet some new TAs twice ;)
