Yeah it was pretty wicked night, way better than last years GK anyway.

Highlights were Luke Fair who ripped it up from start to finish and Nick Warren who played much better than the last couple of times he's come out here. Also saw bits and pieces of Hybrid, who seemed a bit flat to be honest, Tom Neville who played a few cool tracks but that was about it and Above & Beyond who I couldn't really get into. But yeah, loved it overall and it was good to catch up with the usual TA suspects along the way as well. :)

EDIT: Oh yeah, no-one had any trouble with the sniffer dogs I hope?

Eye Wall - Bad Deal (DJ Remy and Roland Klinkenberg Remix)

i love the ch00n

Musically i think i ernjoyed last year alot more tbh.

I saw hybrid for a little who was playing some awesome stuff ( and some pretty average stuff in between).

G&D were okay but not what i had hoped tbh. They played a couple of hits but i had hoped their djing would be as good as their producing, maybe i expected a little to much?? :conf:

Above and beyond I only saw the start off which was also good, but typical predictable trance, not "Once a year GodsKitchen main stage set" sort of good if u know what i mean?

I guess for me there was not really any one point in the night were i was blown away by the music itself.

Having said that i did have an awsome night overall but more enjoyed just chatting with everyone and catching up with all the usual TA's.

Nick Warren is a top bloke, was lucky enough to have a bit a chat with him....fark he was trashed :stongue:

Maybe i been doing this to long?

that is correct you jaded bastard scott!

haha, seriously though that's why I didn't go to GK.syd.

A&B and G&D don't float my boat, and I think your expectations of G&D were probably a bit on the unrealistic side (in terms of dj'g).

Would have really liked to see Nick Warren in action. His parklife set here, from reports, was pretty average.

Lol yeah thank goodness the human mid-20's group i was with was big enough to sorta block out the elderyl topless mutants for the most part! Either that or i was just too blind to notice most of the night.
Light The Fuse

pretty good night overall, but not the best..

highlights for me -

G&D playing - Eye Wall - Bad Deal (Remy & Roland Klinkenberg Remix with vocals of Andain - Summer Calling over the top.. FARK that was crazy :)

lowlight - how could they possibly dream of starting with Arcadia :( not a good option in my mind, plus putt 'Jase from Outta Space - Do What You Want' vocals over the top -

G&D also played Mindcircus (at least i think they did) which was massive.. they also played some other big tunes.. they were pretty good overall.. and also cause i got to wander on stage during their set (to which i received about 10 sms'. one of which saying "hey dude.can you please get me to see Hybrid backstage" from an unknown number.. quite hilarious 7/10

Apparently Luke Fair killed it in a big way, so disappointed ai didnt see him.. Nick warren was great for what i can remember, all a bit hazzy at this point..

cause end of BT but then realise it was Above&Beyond playing as ti sounded too hard for BT

Above&Beyond were best of the night for me, with all their usual big ones and i was sitting int he VIP section with Charlotte, and when Birth of an Angel came on i started babbling about how its gotta be their Birth of An Angel with Angelic - Its My Turn vocals on it.. DAMN THAT SOUNDED HOT!!!

a big night all-in-all and at the pre-part the people there went mental over Menno De Jong - Tundra, Dreas - Sonic Rush and Mr Sam - Lyteo (Rank 1 Remix) as we headed out the door.. which proves (charlotte) there is no substitute for great party tunes.. a big hallo to all the ta's i spotted again, only new one i met was alex_cooke and didnt manage to change mr eros around the traps this time..

:)
