ok so i finally saw this... christian bale is a great bruce wayne, great batman. i loved how everything tied in nicely with the flower and scarecrow. just everything was put together really well. i think it's better than the original with keaton/nicholson/billy dee!!!! :haha: so yeah. good jokes at the right time, action was on point... i didn't think anything was over the top. i thought, as has been mentioned before, that the fight scenes could've been shot at wider angles, but that's my only complaint.

liam neeson was diabolical, as was watanabe. it was nice seeing oldman in a good-person role. holmes wasn't bad as the ADA... i thought the guy that played jon crane/scarecrow could've been used more, but he played the role well... can't wait for dvd lol

seriously...i honestly dont think there's a role that gary oldman can't play...he's one of my favorite actors...

that was gary oldman?! wow...yeah ill agree that hes great...every since i watched him in Leon:The Professional as a crooked cop I thought he had amazing depth as an actor...well his other roles were just as good - such as in Romeo is Bleeding, Bram Stoker's Dracula...etc.

saw it last night and loved it
i really liked the overall villan hero and setup. scarecrow was a nice subvillian and all of the actors / actresses were very well cast.

bale oldman and neeson did an amazing job. i really liked how neeson's character was portrayed in the beginning and the end of the movie. i liked how they made it kinda scary. it wasn't terrifying but it definitly was a little creepy in some parts.

i understand the comparison to star wars but whatever two different stories with a similiar basic structure. same for most hero struggles.

go see it if you haven't yet

And to celebrate its release on DvD, I'm gonna respond back to this guy:

Are you kidding me?? The original Batman didn't wink at the screen at all? What about the dialogue, kept very film noirish? And what about the scene where Michael Keaton is flying around in his Batplane and carefully stops in midair, right in front of the moon to show the batman signal to the audience? If that's not winking at the camera, I don't know what is.

What's great about Batman Begins is that there's none of that tongue in cheek bull. That's why the new Batman is a better and far more superior movie. Thank you. You're welcome.

I thought it was cool when the Batwing flew up to the moon. Was a nice touch for the movie. Its neat to have different tastes to Batman when you go from the comic books, to the cartoons, to the movies. Id rather not see the comic book Batman in a movie and same goes for the other way around. They just don't fit.

They do fit, that's the point my friend...the tone of the batman comics were always very dark and psychological...having the movie stay consistent with the comics broadens the same appeal that made the comic fans happy...in other words, batman is a dark character, so it's about time the movie honored the original vision...

You are saying Batman 1 didn't portray a dark Batman? :conf:
