| How full was the theater? I'm planning on seeing it tomorrow at 10 am, but might postpone if it's a hysteria.:conf: |

Yes, we saw the 5:30 show at the Battery Park theater, which was about 3/4 full, it was mostly people coming straight from work :D Definitely worth the 10.75! I bet the evening shows are PACKED PACKED PACKED and will continue to be so until next week. It was the best movie I've seen this year in terms of casting (although I never really liked Katie Holmes, Christian Bale is the best Batman ever though I still think Val Kilmer was a hot one too ;) ), special effects, plot (surprise there, the plot was actually cool) and bad-assness :D I've got one word for you: SCARECROW!!!
Go see it! |

| I find it hard to imagine that this could even come close to topping Sin City... especially in overall coolness. |

I can see how you'd say that... of course nothing this year will match the sinister nature of Sin City... that movie had me gettin queasy about 5 minutes in, and actually made me cry towards the end due to the graphic nature of one scene because scenes where rape is portrayed or strongly suggested touch me very deeply.
Also, Batman, of course, never came close in gruesomeness to the scene where Elijah Wood gets his limbs chopped off in Sin City, and his dog comes and eats him. But I think Sin City sometimes went too far in trying to turn people off, I honestly can't name too many people who didn't think that movie was a little too gruesome. I certainly appreciated Sin City's cinematography and all the cool effects, the black and white with punctuated colors, etc... but Batman was just a different movie altogether. Call me a lightweight or a girly girl if you will... :p I guess I just don't like to see graphic mutilation for two hours straight... I mean, how much stylized violence am I expected to take?
Anyway, Sin City was awesome, and Batman was too, but what I really can't wait for is WILLY WONKA! :D |

like i said in my last post i just finished backpacking so i never even heard about this movie, actually i didnt even find out about the new pope until a few days after he was elected. :toungue: honestly it was so nice to be out of the loop and not hear about death and destruction all day...
but to get back on topic i saw Batman Begins last night and it was really really good. The way it was filmed it was so dark, it was just was the way i pictured a Batman movie. I almost wish theyd redo all the Batman movies except the first one with Michael Keaton. |
