...it's ironic that this track was played at guv because when i arrived home , entered my "bachlorette" apt , on top of my 15+year milkcrate/CD collection - The "PUMP" CD was on top of the stack. I was singin' this song in the shower! {maybe in my head} ahhyahahaha and then i put my robe on and did a B-Boy-Stance DANCE! LOL:tongue3  :tongue2 Neber mind!....
Basically what I mean is that I was singing song too when i came home that mornin' ! Weird!:eyespop: I aM a Weird Q~t!@:happy2:

...how I wish I could turn back the clock to about 2AM Sunday...
This was definately the best party I've ever been to, or one of the best at least. Everything about the whole night ROCKED. Seeing all the regular faces who truly made the night complete. Honestly, every single person that was there made the night complete for me. It definately wouldn't have been the same if even 1 person was missing. And the sheer energy that Sasha and Lawler showed behind the decks, and the energy that the crowd had...WOW...it was truly a unique sight.
Someone should really send these review threads to both of the DJ's, just to show them how much fun we had, and how much more we wanted.
Samhouse put it best...I really feel like a part of me was left on the Skybar forever...I'm just glad that I'm not the only one.
:eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
I'm definately gonna be thinking about this party non-stop for the next little while.
ps. I don't think I'll ever forget the time when Sasha dropped Trentmoller - Beta Boy on the Skybar. I remember seeing Lawler in around on the mixer during the buildup, while Sasha and the rest of the Skybar was jumping up and down with their hands in the air. Then the beat kicked in and everyone just lost it. I still see the hands in the air while listening to it. |

Who knows what she took, or if she took anything. Graham had a similar thing happen on a sun. afternoon on no drugs- possibly from dehydration. < I suspect dehydration coulda been an option for anyone that night in that 'sauna'. I just hope she's ok. |

I saw that girl go down in the smokehole. Freaked me out... Anyone know what happened to her? Was an ambulance called or did they just dump her somewhere to sleep it off? |

Well, it was a good morning.
I didn't even known Lawler was spinning until I ran into an old girlfriend at a club in Barrie and she told me. We decided right then and there that we would head down to Guv to catch Lawler's set.
Chilled at a friends place until about 4:30, then made the drive down to the Guv.
Got there around 6, just in time to catch Lawler. Headed straight up to the Sky bar and heard Lawler dropping some serious heat on the decks.
I was, however, very tired and not really that into it. The light up theer and the fact that I was completely sober didn't help at all. Decided to head back into the main room for a bit.
Went down there for about a half hour to get into it. At that point, my friend and I both decided that the stuff Mark was playing was seriously weak in comparison to Lawler's pain.
Went back up to the Skybar and recognized a few faces from pic threads on this board. Introduced myself to a few people (forget who, you probably don't remember me!)
I felt rammed up there though, big time. Plus I was sober and everyone just seemed that much sketchier. My friend and I found a good spot towards the end at the back, where there was lots of space and we could see Lawler clearly. I just wasn't that int it though.
Honestly, I have to say that I would have enjoyed the morning alot more had I not been as tired as I was. (Partying all night in Barrie + after party + hour and a half drive = one tired mofo). But I still enjoyed myself.
I will more than likely be heading to more parties in T.O this summer, where I will be sure to make my true self known to the TAs on this board.
By the way, what's up with the cops shutting down the party 20 mins early? Would it have made that much difference? |
