Tune of the night for me:
Steve Lawler: Planet Funk - Stop Me (King Unique Electric Itch Dub)
Great time. My first entire night spent at Guv. Entire meaning I didn't leave just before the headliner or just after he started, I was actualy in the building for a good 10 hours. Also my first time actualy dancing and I had a blast.
The whole night was how a night at the club should be. Perfect progression in my opinion. Mark Oliver started me off, Paolo Mojo warmed me up, Sasha had me dancing up a storm and Lawler had me going insane. Weird set times, each DJ kind of alternating with the other but a great night nonetheless. Special thanks to Graham for saving my ass from dehydration :D.
All in all a perfect night. |

| cool, any of you guys talk to johan? i wonder what djs do when they come to town, cause they're by themselves, so i guess that sucks not having anyone to party with. (unless a million fans hord them of course lol) |

Yeah I saw Johan at the docks at around 2:30....I went up to him... it was hard not to notice him, bright yellow/green shirt - tradmark hair. HE was a super nice guy, constantly shakking hands, talking about his career, clubs and how badly he wants to rip Republik up tomorow (tonight) We took a couple shots with him, his idea?!?

i must say, it is tres bizarre to show up at 4:30 to a club where everything is totally going off after you've already slept for the night! caught about 45 min of sasha downstairs and headed upstairs around 5:30 for lawler.
i have never seen both those djs having so much fun and so animated. sasha can smile without his face cracking! and i have never ever had such a good time at guv (well, technically the skybar but whatev)...i didn't think it was possible. and how often do you ever see those two spinning back to back? crowd was great too...i only noticed a few sketchy casualties. ran into/meet so many people. :D and once we moved up towards the front there was plenty of room to dance.
and the set: wow. so much acid! i was in 303 heaven! ass shaking awesomeness. good from start to finish.
the only bad part of the night was the cops shutting it down 20 minutes early. booo!
definitely one of the best nights i've ever had. totally worth the $25. to those who weren't there, you missed out. seriously.
i want to know if rabbitjoker got the "sasha stare down"? hehe. especially hard to tell when he was wearing sunglasses and *gasp* smiling.
when i got home, i had a msg from skybar. all you could hear was "mr. roboto" in the background...lol |

oh snap did they play that badass mr roboto mix?
i liked the last i saw of the set from skybar at around 8:30 because both lawler and sasha were on stage having a great time smiling away and working on the decks |
