This is a show not to be missed. Ferry, in my opinion, should be the number 1 DJ in the world, for he actually puts on a show every time he gets behind the decks. Unlike say Tiesto, or AVB or PVD, Ferry has been giving the best sets, relative to the rest of the top 10, for the last year or so.

In short,
He actually cares about his sets still!!!

and actually tries, and gives amazing shows everywhere.

Im sure this show will be a blast, although i hear Ruby Skye has gone downhill as of late, I still say Ferry will spin an amazing tracklist...

Especially if I bring a vinyl or two of his classics!

Well, I'm going, and I agree Ferry is fantastic, but I don't agree with what you're saying about the other DJs you mentioned. :tongue2 I have seen Armin numerous times in the last few months alone and he has shown his A-game at every gig -- I've always seen him having a in' blast behind the decks and working the crowd, and the crowds seem to appreciate that in a big way. :) I would argue that he "cares" just as much, if not more than Ferry does about his shows and track selection.

Tiesto and PvD are a bit more hit-or-miss, but not during the times I've seen them. I consider myself fortunate for that. ;)

In the end, it all comes down to a matter of opinion. Thank you for sharing yours. :) I'll see you there Friday night! It's sure to be a great time. (I'm thrilled it's at Ruby Skye and not 1015 :p)

I agree that Armin does care and does still "throw it down" when he plays, but in terms of sets, i just see ferry as playing better sets in general to avb. Avb will play the bangin track after bangin track but in terms of hearing live, its in my opinion I would still go with Ferry anyday.

ticketweb even still has $20 tickies. I'll take Ruby Skye on a Friday any day over that what is now a s**thole 1015. The crowd tends to be *slightly* better than Saturdays, which ends up being a lot more bridge-and-tunnel/sorority party/downtown-tourists. RS may have let their door standards slide through the dot-bomb...but still far more upscale and not ghetto like 1015 has become!...don't get me wrong, RS is not my fav. place either!!!

I prefer Ruby Skye over 1015 as well. I was quite a bit disappointed when PVD announced through his site that he'd be at 1015 this September. Last time he was at Ruby Skye, he really did a kick-ass job (during the Reflections tour). I will also be at Ruby for the Ferry show.

same here, I really would love to top off the Love Parade weekend with PVD, but I just can't see that happening at 1015 unless it was a very VERY cool crowd. And there's just too much negative energy there right now for me to commit to that given there will be many more options...alright...sorry to hijack this thread. That said, I should be with pretty large group again at RS, but I'll be saving myself for ICE!

Not a big fan of Ferry... I used to, but everytime I see him, I dont get excited anymore. Same goes for AVB. PVD and Tiesto are still 2 of my favorites trance DJs, while Mauro still owns my techno selection and Sasha my prog. I never been disapointed with PVD.... NEVER.... My favorite PVD set... PVD @ SPACE during WMC in Miami 2005. OMG, I was there and I still can't get over it. I wonder if that set got recorded. The very same day I saw Ferry close for PVD, and I was pretty bored. Several hours later I was sitting down. Yeah, even though he did a 5+ hour set, I still didnt enjoy him as much as I enjoyed 1 hour of Sander, right after Ferry on the terrace. That night has to be the best clubbing night ever for me. Right after went to the hotel, slept for a few hours, and saw Tiesto, Carl Cox, Danny Howells, Moby LIVE, and other at Ultra! and Mauro right after. :eyespop: All these DJs within a 24-hour period!

i saw armin a couple weeks ago in SF @ ruby skye and he was pretty weak, i hope ferry does a better job

and i'll agree that 1015 sucks ass, the crowd there needs to get lost, especially the ing dumbass fobs, can't ing stand them when they constantly shove into you without regard

are they all in the mid 30s-early 40s like the ones we see here in NYC?

At Ten15 Saturday night, saw tons at least 50 years old. But age doesn't bother me at nightclubs. If you go out and have fun proper, don't think age matters. I know people up there who go out and have tons of fun with them. But yeah, majority do not belong there.
