Some qustions about Exercising...

I've started doing some Exercise at home just to get in shape(not that im fat, just need some big mucles!!!) now I need to know these please:

Is it ok to do exercise everyday? if not, why?
How long an exercise session should last each time? like 1 hour max?...

should I eat/drink any of those protein powder wich help the mucles? bcoz i've heard that they not very good and their are waste of money, is it true?

is it okay to eat tuna and sweetcorn as lunch and dinner everyday? bcuz thats what Im doing right now, I need to know if its ok or not and explain why.

and If you are muscly guy, could you give me some advice how to become muscly as fast as possible please?

just IMO, but you shouldnt eat the same thing every day. you wont get a balanced diet that way. as a side note, i read an article yesterday that said corn is really high in antioxidants. i didnt know that.

protein shakes work if u do the weights to make the protein useful for building up teh muscles
can exercise everyday if u exercise different parts of your bod i.e. top one day, bottome the next, CV the next or whatever
all my gf ever eats is tuna and sweetcorn with ketchup so im sure youll be ok lol

Rotate heavy lifting with aerobics or work upper/lower rotating. You can't lift heavy every day in the same muscle group because you're basically tearing the muscles and they need a break to heal. The protein powder helps them heal more quickly while adding bulk. Power lift with low reps/heavy weights to max capacity to build quickly instead of lighter weights/many reps or sets which only builds stamina. You have to feel the strain and burn to increase capacity and muscle mass.

Protein is the main component in growth of tissues like muscle. When you exercise you do minor damage to your muscle. Will powder be useless to you? It depends on how much Protein you get from other sources and how much Protein you need.

In addition to other things, yes. I don't believe simply tuna and sweetcorn will provide you with enough Calories and Carbohydrates to fuel your exercise. These things would be better eaten as complimentary to more nutritionally well-balanced meals.

I don't really use wieghts and stuff, I do pull ups, push ups and thats about it for my chest and arms, I don't really work on my legs I like them as the way they are, I never liked muscly legs(dont know why). and for sit up I do it in my own way wich is hard to explain and take time, but I think its effective :D.

What I need to know is that, is it okay to work on my arms everyday, like say I do 200 push ups everyday, is that going to be okay?


and thanx for the tuna advice, so I dont have to worry about my diet :D. by the way is your gf fit? just wondering if the diet is really effectiv in long terms...no offenc at all. :)

but I havn'y got any wieghts, only one dumble(sp?) wich is only about 9kg, so is it ok IF i do push ups everyday since that doesnt count as heavy lifting?
