If you want a long term meaningful relationship then whatever you do don't look for one. No person who's ever sought a long term relationship has ever found one (or at least a good one). It seems that when women are seeking a long term relationship they tend to try to force it quicker then it would naturally develope... that scares men away. Around the time I met my fiancee I was starting to date a great girl but she was clearly trying too hard to make more of our relationship then it was. I definately was not ready to jump into a long term relationship at the time so I stopped seeing her and started dating my fiancee.... I guess I was ready for a long term relationship but she was trying to make it happen too fast... men will always bail before we allow ourselves to get rushed into something.

hmmm, it has been my observation that men do it more...like just keep some chick around because she's pretty and good in the sack, yet they are always looking over their shoulder at the club for someone better...at least when females do it, it's for a better reason other than just "oh he's a great lay". lol but i know there are women out there who will keep a guy around for ridiculous and selfish reasons as well.

and by the way, this game boils down to one thing only, insecurity.

I don't think I'll go as far as to say you're wrong but you're not exactly right.

One thing with guys is they do have a natural tendency albeit a bad one to appreciate eye candy hence the wandering eye even even in presence of their gf.
I don't believe it's exactly a quest for a different gf, it's just what it is: Eye Candy.

But when you really look into the whole searching for a better partner I don't believe a gender is more innocent then the other.
It really depends on the person itself and it's difficult to classify which gender is more at blame because in any case it takes two genders to cheat.
