i think i might be in this position at the moment...
my gf's been shunning me lately, she's been really stressed cuz of exams and other stuff... she really likes being close to someone and in a relationship all the time so she could just be holding onto me till she finds someone better
i would dump her but i just have such great memories with her and i still care about her so much  ... aaand the fact that us getting together meant we lost a good mate to both us (knew i should have stuck with bros before hoes)....puta |

After every near-ending or already ended relationship, people need to take the time to be single and get reaquainted with themself as an individual and not always as a person in a commited relationship.
You'll learn what you can tolerate and what you can't, pet peeves, etc.
After finding out what you really want, then look for another prospective. If you don't, you'll most likely get into another relationship and the same problems will reoccur again and again. |

if u guys do that, trust me, you're not doing your partner a favor by staying with them. set them free and let them find someone who will appreciate them, instead of holding on to them for your own selfish reasons. |

^^ Good post.
I dunno.. I come from the school of thought that you should only enter into a relationship with someone if you feel there is something there -- just because they're giving you attention and want you is not reason enough to bother. I've seen enough girls fall into this trap - one week it is - "omg, i'm single. woe is me" and the next it is "omg this guy is sooo nice." |
