Dynaudio 5A's retail for $1,000 now - so the entry level isn't all that high. You can directly compare them to MAckies or Event Studio Precisions. |

| I use Behringer Truths. To be honest, I don't find them suitable for production. The highs are too harsh even with the back switche sin minimum. Sub-bass is lacking for an 8" woofer, you know. I have heard smaller speakers pump out more bass. Now, I give them one good point...they are LOUD. I pump up the bass in my Mackie mixer and crank them real high close to limiting...which is a nice feature so they don't distort, and wow, they really sound great as music speakers. But as monitors, nah...they fatigue quite a bit and I haven't gotten used to them in the year and a half I have had them. I got my Sony MDR-7506 headphones a few months ago and I am accustomed to them already. =o) |
