in awesome....I would seriously , probably have sex with her if she asked me

and as for the others....well I don't want to sound like a pessimist
but uhhhhhh yeah....Dave Clark: tune selection stunk...tweaked it too hard...played the tunes to fast
Mauro Picrappo: the first tune...whatever, it was reminding of how he used to spin when he was " GOOD "...that guy sux, I don't like him.
I think he was spinning trance for a bit...then I left because his mixing skills blew and his tune selection stunk

Mistress Barbara was amazing, when I graced guvernment with my presence, I was bobbin my head to the kickass earful joy she was punchin out of those used and abused crack whore speakers and it was sounding glorious. A great way to start things off for Canada Day, a good ol homebrew to show up the expensive but " cheap " overseas talent.

yes...and I'm the man
( please sense my sarcasms and negative humour )

Definitely had a good time. Was great seeing everyone again. It's been a while. :toothless

Miss B's set was my fav of the night. Dave Clarke was very good! Marco Bailey was good too. Picotto was BORING!! :whip: That's the last time I go hear him spin.

It was great being able to go from room to room without any difficulties. Only The Drink was packed and hot; music was good though. Chilling out with TA's on the rooftop was very nice!!

Thank you JT for the g/l.

Dave Clarke-technically very good, a little too hard for me and others to dance to. 1.5 hrs of him ending on a high energy

Exactly my thoughts!

Overall the night was a wikkid good time, with many solid artists representing enough genres to keep ANYONE happy (sadly no trance tho :p ). Ended up checking out:

Harry Choo Choo Romero was funky and chunky, but I only caught part of his set (including Dire Straits - money for nothing [some remix]!). The Drink was super hot though and that kind of put a damper on things, so I headed over to the Orange room were...

DJ Icey was banging out some solid breaks... :D But...

Jurassic 5 was calling my name.... go DJ Numark! Left after half the set because it was too slow for me, but I still love J5. Heard their set had an awesome finish and encore... sad that I missed it :(

However, meanwhile Skool of Thought was ripping up in the Orange Room!  Best breaks I've heard in a long time ;)

Capped the night off on the Skybar and Sydney Blu, MO and Nathan Barato didn't dissapoint one bit. Great house anthems were thrown and much more dancing ensued :gsmile: Left the guv around 715.

Started the morning at CoZo but shortly left for home.

Cheers to all the TA's pounding the floor last night!!!

Mauro's set REALLY pissed me off.

i think the night would have been 'amazing' if he didnt kill the vibe.

Pulsar 2005, common!

djs shouldnt have off nights.

i thought dave clarke was amazing! peak time = hard beats! and thats what he threw out!

misstress was ing gold. i wanted her to play some preach tunes.......i was waiting for it

i heard

Harcell - SMULK (SOOOOOOOOOO DIRTY)!

marco bailey = meh. i'm liking his new electro soft techno style if i'm just chilling at home, but live i want the hard .

mistress barbara = sick. hard pounding beats, energetic, all that you can ask for a dj.

dave clarke = booyah grandma. crazy skillz behind those pioneers, wow. was loving the huge reworks he was doing. played a bunch of stuff from world service 2, which was what i wanted to hear. at times the distortion was too much (guv's system? dunno) but he brought the place down.

mauro picotto = wtf. he's really gone down the ter. played some decent tracks, but no flow or feeling whatsoever. and i swear to god i heard the same tracks three times, twice in a row. simple synth song.. that pissed me off. picotto, next time you come to TO bring your A game. geezus. oh and stop stealing vath's signature behind the deck moves, lol.

i give this party a 5.5/10.. dissappointing.. :(

Sup to all the TAs i talked to, and to people that i didn't see: hopefully next time.
dc star
that set she pulled off made the night for sure!!!!!!!

5 STARS 4 MISTRESS B!!!!!!!!

pretty good night i think.. it wasnt too packed and overall all the djs played ok

complaints about picotto... yes the set was dull.. it seemed that he was trying to toy with the audience which worked at times.. i saw some people totally flipping out when he went from slow ot really fast and then slow again... it was fun but i would have preffered much harder

dave clark stole the night i think.. it was great to hear him play that remake of yazoo- don't go ... dont know what remix it was.. but it sure is a helluvalot better then that sean dessman remake lol

overall great night.. and nat i agree with you picotto wasnt up to par.. i miss the days when he used to rock guverment and system soundbar.. i hope those days return

Vince had my recently retired PICOTTO license plate (the 1 that wasnt damaged from 3 car accidents), and was waving it around, in hopes to motivate Mauro to pick up the beat. It never worked. Maybe he shoulda thrown it at his head & smacked some sense into him?

I dunno, i think those days are gone. He comes here and plays like crap, and then u go and see a review for another city (like LA last yr) and plays a much better set. I dont get it. :conf:

Personal opinions of Mauro aside, I can be objective & give him credit when credits due- lord knows I used to love my Mauro! But I haven't experienced a good set from him in a couple years, and it wasn't that they were not 'great' sets, they were downright BAD. This, along with the last time he was at the Guv w/Liebing (< the only set I've ever walked out on and went home), ranks as some of the worst sets I've EVER heard.

Vince, thanks for getting the plate autographed. It may end up on your wall one day (I'll trade ya for a few more spots ;) ).

Seriously tho, where were all the TA's? I thought the list said 58, I saw maybe 20. Che- great to see your smiling face to start the night off. Maybe u can teach me the art of strawberry picking? ;) have an awesome trip to Poland!

Oh, and shout out to x-raver (?) whom we met on the dance floor, Wurm (always love chatting with ya), Baki (missed giving u hugs for a long time now). To everyone else- always a pleasure.

TheNeonAlien
