| It's too bad that Mauro has had such bad sets in his last few visits to T.O. I got into Trance three years ago and he was my favorite after seeing him @ Soundbar in '03 and I even drove to Chicago for a set @ Vision. Is he getting bored with DJ'ing or why can't he produce and play like he used to. If he's not into it, he should retire and spend time with his kid. All the power to you though Mauro, you got me into the scene and I can't see myself losing interest in attending future Bal en Blanc's and Labour of Love Parties in the future! |

I just wanted to read about Mauro's review, since he'll be here in LA tommorow night. It's a shame he wasn't at his best last night. :( He's always rocked when I've seen him... Here is what he wrote on his msg board about last night...
| quote: | Hiya toronto,
happy canadian day. Was nice to see people last night in the club having fun. I didn't enjoyed this time at all. When i started the soundsystem went down then one hour later it came back up again...what happened, i dont know? It really kill my mood. Anyway, was good to see the crowd enjoy before. In new york now hope i will have more fun tonight. Ciao and all the best the rest.

Dave Clarke brought the pain
Picotto was boring, I was glad I heard him drop Criss Source - Hugs N Kisses and then a few mediocre songs later I just headed upstairs to skybar.
Worth 40 bucks? Not especialy considering Dave Clarke was the only one I really enjoyed save for the Djs on the skybar afterwards but I had a good time. It was kind of an off night for me though. I didn't really get into the mood until 15-20 minutes into Clarke.
My favourite part when Clark tore up so badly that after Picotto only played a track or two one of the woofers ed up.
Still looking for that track with the sample from Blow "100% pure columbian cocaine, disco ". |

great night....
marco bailey SUCKED!!!! i hated the techno he played for the first 20 mins and by then it was too late to keep me in the main room. Headed up to the drink where goldfinger was just ending. Harry Romero came on...track 1 = good, track 2 = better, Track 3 = holy the drink went ape to this track...had a HUGE buildup that he mustve taken to the climax 2 or 3 times before dropping it finally. Great song...wondering if any of the househeads can ID it. Woulda liked to see more but the mistress was on...
She was brilliant for her first time at guvy. I think she'll be back based upon quality of set played and the crowd reaction. Dave Clark took things to a whole new level which was hard after Mistress. Holy Hard batman...this guy was nuts. Then we had mr.picotto who ed it all up again. MAURO MAURO MAURO.....makin a habit here. Tough to support someone who kills energy like that. I heard he dropped bombs the 2nd half of his set but by then he had lost me to the skybar and the sounds of Mark Oliver (sick set). A few flashbacks of lawler and sasha occured up there which is always nice.
Left guvy around 7.30 and headed to the zone where the local toronto boys and girls (Dekoze, addy, jelo and sydney blu) decided to tear us all new s (now doesnt that sound disturbing).
Cherry beach was empty...so home was next...
im tiredd....
its 7.20am sat morning...3 hours of sleep and work in an hour.

they actually brought in the new technics CD players - he won't use the pioneers. He had a giant box full of only CDs - it was wild. He didn't bring a single record! |

i had a blast... many of you are complaining about the music, i dunno, i wasn't really paying attention, i just had a great time talking to people i hadn't seen in a long time... the crowd on thurs i thought was great, well drink and skybar cuz most of my time was spent there...
i strolled through main room when mb was playing, i thought she had a great groove going... later on i strolled through again when dave clark was on, and i swear i could feel my ears bleed... *shrugs*
harry choo choo romero and seb fontaine were killing it at the drink... skybar was on fire too, crowd was great up there, everyone having a good time... i love this new thing they've got in the summer, having the skybar close as the last room in the club... reminds me of terrace at space in miami!!
