Wow, where to begin, it all started off around 9 am Friday morning, leaving richmond hill to start our mission, we had to arrive incredibly early to set up the Purge Tent/Stage. By the time we got there Barry ( Ampz ) as well as a few select others had already arrived, but since Endgame, Myself and SgtFoo had the tent and all the equipment, not much could be done. Basically got the tent set up around 1, Dennis Hahn came by, we had a few beers, and then, the weekend truely began.
By the evening of the first night, there were around 15 Ta's up there and we were all meeting and greeting, just having a laugh or two, Richard Taylor and Eso finished off our first night in extreme style, and then it was off to raving. only problem being, you really couldn't bring water into the main stages, so it was becoming a pain in the ass, due to alcohol, i unfortunately missed Astral Projection. But alas the night was to be enjoyed by the people, and those of you who stayed up with me that entire night, it was a riot sitting around, especially hearing RJ's impression of Steven Hawkin talking about "Sketchbags".
After haning out all morning, Barry and Aren threw down a lovely Chill out session until the Paradigm United mash up set began, it was awesome to hear all the different styles come into one like that, it went excellent. After another solid 5 hour drinking set, it was finally time for me to put my head down. first non-passing out sleep i had got since the thursday night. Woke up around 10, Barry was finishing off the stage in a fantastic way, playing epic trance for about an hour, Finishing off With an encore play of Thrillseekers, put everyone in the mood to go out and party. Headed out to make an appearance at the main room. Donald Glaude scratching with his nose.....un-explainable, and yes, you read that correctly, his Nose!. Set of the night, Matt Hardwick, only caught a small amount of it, but similar to the first time i saw him at D49, he was exceptional, After that, around 4:30, Back to bed, up at 6:45 again this morning, more sleep than i thought i would get, surrounded by loud Renegade Stages. Ah well.
All those T.A's who made the trip, you made the experience that much better, RJ for being a riot, Barry, Aren, Drew, Dannie, tracey, Jordy, Schryer, Tommy ( leaving for Marco V ), Lisa, ( the hello and goodbye this morning made me laugh, so you made it on for that) Shane for making me roll in the wind, Richard Taylor, Peter, for stealing my tent :). Anybody else, i probably forgot your name or never met you, unfortunately it came to an end, but it was def the best party of my year thus far.
Bring on 2k6! |

My favourite set of Saturday was definately Beat Freakers. Glaude was good too but he kept killing the sound system. Rabbit in the moon put on an amazing show. The technology that went into it... WOW... That video suit that bunny wore was crazy!!
Anyways, now that that madness is over, im off to Europe :) |

First the bad thing that happened to me at WEMF...I LOST MY CELL PHONE:sadgreen: ...I checked the Lost & Found when I left but they didn't have my phone :(
THe rest of WEMF was SOO in AWESOME:gsmile: ...big ass rooms with kickass stages & visuals....I danced hard on both nites & just LOVED Rabbit in the Moon...those 4 huge screens really added to the show(s)...I agree that the sound system was acting up with a few hiccups now & then but overall it was good...Sat I looked EVERYWHERE for the TA party and ran into Natalie who pointed me in the right direction...I missed Schryers set and others but managed to hear DJ Styles and have to thank you dude for the CD... VERY sweet tracks on that;) ...I met SO many people & some American "poppers & lockers" we're putting some of us to shame with their sweet dance moves:crazy: ...The funny thing was seeing SO many people with bad sunburns...Me & RJ we're commenting in this & saw how bad ESO was...MAN I hope you're not hurting later ESO ;)
I also ran into Rob (akaRTT) and he told me what happened to him...I'm glad that you & your g/f are ok & I hope they catch the rest of those s:mad:
Anyway another WEMF some & gone...I thought for sure I wasn't gonna go this year but MAAAAN I am sooo glad that I did go...Orangeville Fair Grounds is an awesome venue & if WEMF can hold it there next year then I will go FOR SURE :D |

that had nothing to do with the sound. The problem are DJs who keep turning it up when the house keeps turning it down.
It wasnt a problem most of the time though. |

Well guy's and gals, as my msn say's, best weekend of the summer, 3 years straight = wemf :)
Everyone made this such an event. Everytime I go its a different feel but still awsome. Only made it to the main room for: Astral Projection (they were TANKED off their mind and invited me back to their hotel with 3 girls but i passes, and missed the interview), Donald vs Jelo (wow, killed me quick but awsome set), ROTM (just fantastic visuals, the little sound wand was awsome, have some on video, ill try to dump it for ppl to see), Matt Hardwick, as always banging out the awsome trance and Adam Shariden who was very good, n reminded me of dennis. lol
As for the PURGE stage, thanks to everyone that showed up, played and supported (esp aaren). Dropped quite a few $ on this but thanks to donations from around the tent, aaren and I didn't lose TOOO much on it. Well worth it, awsome sets by everyone and amazing time. Some of the Sat afternoon sets got recorded, including the mash-up, of which i will get on here as soon as my md likes me again.
Looking forward to the next thing. As for that, stay tuned for information on FUSE, the electronic FREE festival in Guelph come late August. Would love to see everyone out there njoying themselves :)

Ace event. All the stops were pulled by the amazing force of Destiny, TR, and Republik. I was impressed by the work that was put into this amazing weekend, above all the sound and lighting were top notch. Nice to see friends from New England, also finally met the lighting master Jay... Thanks to all for an amazing summer adverture, even if it did feel somewhat unusual missing the Friday night.
Stay tuned for a full pictorial review of WEMF 2005 at ETN.fm...
Deepest thanks to all those that made this experience possible. Looking forward to WEMF 2006.
