Yes he is.
Also Sidney Crosby wheres he gonna go every team has a chance for the #1 pick. I think the Rangers will get him because they need the Rangers to be big to get hockey back on the map and they will tilt the draft lottery to them. WATCH! in rangers:whip: |

it's time to stop pandering to American teams. The Rangers are a joke lately because of bad management, pure and simple. I find it interesting that the next great CANADIAN player is in line to end up on an American team most likely...the four teams that have 3 chances in the lottery are all from the US. Montreal or Toronto don't have a chance...and he has openly stated he wants to play for my team, the Montreal Canadiens since he grew up on the East Coast.
It would be a shame if he ended up in a hockey cess pool like Nashville or Carolina or any other southern US team where the fans are more fickle any other fanbase. He deserves to play in a real hockey town.
Actually, he's in a position where he could just refuse to play in a joke city. He should pull a Lindros and demand to play where he wants...eventually, he'd get it. |

more because of idiotic ownership. James Dolan managed to run Madison Square Garden, the Knicks, the Rangers, any chance NYC had with the olympic bid, etc into the ground. |

Well that's true...but who went and started signing busts like Pavel Bure who is always injured, Jagr who has spectacularly underperformed...Lindros, who shouldn't even be playing anymore. Didn't they give Bobby Holik 10 million a season a few years ago? Highest payroll = missed playoffs time and again.
I don't hate the Rangers at all, nor the Islanders. At least they're real hockey towns. But I'd rather see Crosby play in Montreal (or even in bloody Toronto), where he'd be worshipped like a God and could be the next Guy Lafleur or Darryl Sitler. Better that than be a "star" in Nashville, where he'd barely be noticed behind race car drivers, basketball stars and even college athletes.
With the lockout behind us, it's time for hockey to get back to its roots. Let a few of the weaker southern US teams fold and support the markets that return a profit. And it's time for Canadian teams to start winning Cups again. |
