awesome set by bothguys.Met both of them and very nice and friendly people. shoutouts to Nat,Dj Celica and the others that were there.

just got home...mannnn...a lil disappointed at the TA turnout! what happened to the meet up at the bar like last time???
gradually TAs started appearing around 1:30 or so...
i took lots of pictures and met a few new TAs...hardcore trancer, Tordan, cono_sur, RobbyG., DCFreqNasty (all the way from BC!! madd props!), SPANIARD...
man...tooooooo tired to type anymore for now...but yeah, Norman and Cor are really cool guys...down to earth and definately love their fans!
i cant think much right now about the night...props to awishabear for braving the drive home!
ill type up a better review when i am 100% with it lol

Sorry guys...I really really wanted to make it, and if anyone saw me during Cor's last performance at Viva they'll know why - unfortunately something came up and I had to take care of that first.

I don't know where to start...let's see, I got there around 12ish only to find that the place was empty (yeah, i know...newb to the Toronto scene, lol). I hung out, chilled @ the bar during the warm-up dj set. Then I ran into SPANIARD, which only lead to finding the rest of the Toronto TA's. The warm-up dj was ok, nothing special. His mixing was "average," but he definitely needs to work on his programming. Norman came on at around 1:45ish and figureatively landed an upper cut on everyone. From what I can remember he dropped,

After Norman's set, he and Cor tagged for a few minutes on the decks and dropped a remix of Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams :nervous: And Deep Dish - Say Hello (???Remix). :crazy:
Then Cor came on destroyed it, plain and simple. He played a nice mix of tech-trance and progressive tunes. He was really into his set; sang along with tunes and pumped his fists toward the crowd. The highlight of his set was definitely Tears From The Moon <----came out of nowhere.
Last but not least, I wanna thank DJ Celica and the rest of the Toronto TA's for a great time. This was probably better than most nights I've had at Glow combined! I'll definitely come up again soon :toocool: |

So happy to see TranceGrooves, tatgirl, awishabear, Celica (d00d you rawk), cono_sur, Tordan, Smuncky, Tygon, DAN AND LAURA (you two ing rock for making it all the way!!! :D), Flec, and new TA: Spaniard--dude you're cool! Very nice chat with you on the patio! ;)

I'd never heard of MN or CF before, and I have to say this was an awesome introduction. One of the highlights of the night was meeting and chatting with Mark Norman!!! WHAT AN AWESOME DUDE!!!! Tyler, yaar, thanks for calling me over and introducing me! I was heading back in with Spaniard and you caught us! :D
The guys are so humble and friendly...remind me of Ferry Corsten and Danny T (who are such superstars yet still interact with fans!)
That is SO important! We were talking about how he kicked everyone's ass when he dropped Marcel Woods - Advanced...and he was also talking about the state of EDM and DJs in Holland...the dude is SO COOL...:toocool:
WHOA almost forgot! He also noticed my towel and said that was a good idea!!! LOL!!! SUUUUUP!!!! :D Cuz he was saying it was really hot up in the DJ booth and could have used one!
Also met Cor earlier in the night when I got there (around 2ish)...he was all smiles and hugging and shaking hands as if he was another TOTA!!! Really impressed with the humbleness! :D
Other highlights:
-hooking awishabear with a CLUTCH lollipop! :p ;)
-lifting up my three glowsticks (red, white & blue) to make the Dutch flag and then thumbs-upping next to it right in front of Cor and he looks up, smiles, points back and gives me the thumbs up!!! I'm such an attention whore! :p
-of course, towel fanning my peeps
-LOL I say my goodbyes to everyone and am about to head out with TranceGrooves and then Tygon ing drops ADRENALINE-PURPLE HAZE!!!! WTF!?!?!?!?! We come racing back and dance our ing asses off (that was for YOU, CALE!!! ;) :D missed you :()
Thanks for convincing me to come out, Tyler...it was a wikked time...now to rest for...

I actually went to this last nite even though I was still a bit sick...It was great to meet DJ Celica & DJ Tygon...Also great to see Fayraree;) , Connaisor (sp?) , Tatgirl and Playa24/7...Cor & Norman are THE coolest and it was great to chill with these 2 before their sets:toocool:...I thought there would have been more TAs as well but I guess things do come up.Anyway the tunes we're great from Chicklet right up til I had to leave at around 4ish.I actually found that the bass was WAY too loud and was bugging me even though I had earplugs.I couldn't hear the mids or highs with some tracks...I missed seein JAYX1 workin the lights too...Jay does a WAY better job;)
Anyway it was a great nite overall & can't wait for Cor to return to Toronto:) |

I was at the PR with Dan before Laura got there.. and I turned to Dan and said "OK, do you still want to go? Go to Viva!" and Dan was totally in.. I was pumped to go.. but then started thinking about it, the drive, the money spent and the lack of sleep and how much my cold is still bothering me.. so I backed out at the last minute and was actually responsible (for once in my life) and came home and went to bed like a good little girl should...hahaha :happy2:
But I will sure have fun reading all the reviews that come in.. so give me details so I can feel like I was there too guys...hahaha :p |
