Look at the west indies. Those countries are plagued with gang violence and its an epidemic. You dont think we import part of that culture when immigrants from there arrive? We are so quick to embrace the wonderful aspects of multiculturalism but quick to dismiss the negatives. I suspect the reason that most of these gun crimes are committed by black youth from these troubled parts of the world is because they know no better way of life than this. Whats the answer? Better screening at the border, deportation of illegals and community assistance to those who should be here in the form of job programs, education and police interaction. Let's not forget tougher sentancing and enforcement as well.
And this should go for all people not just those from the west indies. |

I agree with the last half of your statement 100%.
As lax as I think our immigration system is though, I'd be surprised if we let in people like whom you describe... Canada's screening process is a little more involved than to just allow anybody from a violent country in without knowing if they'll contribute or not. |

Not a bad idea....I would however have only one punishment for all crimes....EXECUTION....you J Walk you get the Chair, you steal you get lethal injuection, you do a little insider trading death by stoning. |

youd think so.... but how do so many with criminal records get in? Our refugee system lets in proven dictators for god sake. Its "against their human rights" to deny them a hearing even if they are known criminals. Did you know that? |

With all this talk about racial profiling, kurfew....blacks vs. white...hip hop parties closing.....what does this all mean for us partiers?
What will the searches be like now at the events?
Are all those cops that get extra pay to patrol events, going to be using us as their justification to be there....cuz they got to search us b4 going into the party? Will we be targets too? :eek: :nervous: :nervous: |

You bring up some very good points. Most interesting, and true, is the fact that this city fully "embraces" multiculturalism, without once looking to address the inherent problems that can arise out of a situation as such. |
