What I got from the video is that the party was shut down. I didn't see anyone get beat but I saw a few people face down on the ground getting cuffed, they probably had drugs. I think the whole assault rifle/beating stories are exaggerations of the facts.

Police Crash Big Rave Party
August 21st, 2005 @ 5:18pm

(KSL News) -- In Utah County police raided what they're calling a 'Rave' party in Spanish Fork last night.

Police say 250 people were at the party during the raid and that several thousand more had bought tickets. During the raid police seized weapons and drugs, including marijuana, ecstasy, psychadelic mushrooms, cocaine and alcohol.

Officers received a tip the party was to take place last night In the Diamond Fork area of Spanish Fork canyon. Surveillance video shows the party was to take place on both public and private land.

James Tracey, Utah County Sheriff: "There were multiple felony arrests in this event. Also, the land owners were charged with operating an illegal activity without a permit."

Police also confiscated counterfeit currency at the event and encountered a 17-year old who had overdosed on ecstasy.

why dont they shut down rock concerts????
more ppl and more drugs than any so called rave!!!

i voted 4 bush to protect us not do stupid like this!!!

There are plenty of busts at rock concerts. But unlike this event, rock concerts are usually held in established venues and clubs that have the necessary permits. The concerts themselves usually don't get shut down.

As far as similar examples outside of raves, college parties get shut down all the time too. People get busted for underage drinking, drugs, and noise violations. You can't always act like EDM events are the only events getting shut down and that electronic music listeners are the only ones being unfairly targeted.

prolly a bunch of liberals overexaggerating the entire thing

it's fairly decent quality amazingly but the actual content really there isn't much ..... this is going to sound wrong but there's not enough ass kicking ( or at least to live up to the claims and to be usable in a court case )

Exactly. I didn't see anything like what was being described. There were a few people on the ground getting handcuffed. But... other than that, it looked pretty normal. The military looked very relaxed as did most of the party-goers. It didn't look like total havoc at all.

the police didnt mention anything about that! so it cant be. this is just bull! especially (if this is true) the ripping of the legal permit of the rave.
