But, as always, the man will win. This is the worst country ever. |
Christ man, you haven't traveled, have you?
Try Calcutta for a week and get back to me.
Let's keep things in perspective here. |

The solution is to give each raver a rifle and training. Then let's see who's laughing. Mwahahaha... (at least until they send the next lot of military in - but at least SOME of them died! and by that time people would be gone already.)
I personally have a lot of fun thinking about how I could kill a lot of infantile idiots. Relaxes the mind. Poison, perhaps? :) |
Wow, you are a tard. |

i really dont think bush has anything to do with this...im sure he doesnt know about it but he will!! |
No, of course not, Dubya is all for the raves and the EDM community!!! I'm sure he'll be so pissed when he hears about this!!!
Seriously man, you need to sort your political info out. Bush does not support raves and I'm pretty sure he doesn't support civil rights either, so if you're all bent out of shape about this happening..... well..... get used to it. You've done it to yourself. |

from my point of view from England... That seemed awfully heavy handed by the authorities. To have Military personel on policing duties, clearly armed with high-powered assault rifles.. i mean its just a organised dance event not a taleban gathering in kabul. For every action there must be a proportionate response, sending in a few armed soldiers to breakup a peaceful event, is not in proportion...
edit: im just thinking of the Israeli settlement evictions and how none of the soldiers/police are armed.. and yet theirs been no lethal violence using firearms, when all have free access to them. It would have been all too easy for one partygoer in Utah to take matters into his own hands that night, faced with an assault rifle. |

What's a quick way to stop a supposedly illegal event with anywhere from a few hundred people to a few thousand, many of whom could be under the affect of mind altering substances? How about bring in the armed guard or the SWAT team. Seems reasonable to me. No one was slaughtered, you guys are making way too much of this. |

Well they did seize weapons from a few partygoers. |

A heavy handed response with force isn't always the best option. America has already learned this. This event could have happened in the UK, and a couple of hundred police turned up (unarmed i might add), and i bet it would still have had the same outcome as the Utah event, i.e. people dispersing. |

| this story does sound exaggerated by the people who were probably there. i was gonna reply specifically to some of what you all had said but flavdave has done all of it. i agree completely with you flavdave. its tough to deal with some extreme people talking of the country that lets them live here. i noticed that everyone who talked the most of how terrible the USA is is from the USA. if you really hate it here so much than go someplace else. i know were not perfect, i wanna fix these problems as much as the next person but i will not talk about the place that lets me live in relative peace. it sounds like a lot of you, from the US, who are talking are doing so to get on the goodside of those who dont live in the US in these forums. id like to think that they have more respect for those who are able to think clearly and for themselves and not sound like idiots. its an easy bandwagon to jump on. you have more character if youre able to think for yourself and create educated and coherant arguments not just stupid sounding one-liner remarks based upon heresay and the popular opinion. |
