this raid was set up well in advance if you read Utah Sherrif's Dept. offical report.

The reason is supposidly because they did not have enough manpower to shut down the last rave the promoter threw. So they shut down a fully legal event. Great :(

Someone posted sometihng saying it wont stand up in court...

It won't stand up in court because it doesnt show tear gas, it doesnt show people getting tasered, it just shows the army and some people on the ground. Most of the time the camera is moving everywhere. You can hear dogs barking but you can't even see them biting anyone. And I also don't see the soldiers taking the promoter's permit and ripping it. And I don't hear the army saying "Get the get the out of here or go to Jail".

If all of this was in a video, then they have some evidence in court.

I was there in person. And my friend got his camera broken for taking footage and resisting to hand it over.

Nah I don't believe that.. especially coming from a sheriff lol.. another puppet in the books. If the promoter had enough permission from the state of UTAH to get its permits then there is something else they are not telling us. If its the manpower I think thats bs because why would you even bring high powered rifles like that to a rave? The swat and police can just do the job with just shouting on a mega phone. Hell.. even riot police don't even carry high powered rifles like that. They just carry a shield and baton and tear gas or rubber bullets for a crowd. This rave wasn't even as big as a soccer game, and those soccer games are way worse.

Remember media controls everything so whatever that sheriff said just goes up as if it was the truth which it barely is. Nothing is believable until you see both sides of the story.

That's all I'm saying. We've heard all of the stories about ripping up perfectly legal permits, assault rifles, and beatings, now let's hear more from the police's side of the story. There is probably more going on than what the ravers and event organizers have told us so far.

Well, they mentioned it on the Chicago NBC news over here and even showed the clip that someone linked on here. However, they didn't portray it in the best light and if you didn't know any better you would have thought that they broke up a party full of drug addicts with guns and counterfeit money. The even had they sheriff on bragging about how many felony arrests they had made.

After reading this thread and the one on the other board, it seems to me as if no one has any of the facts straight and most of it sounds like rumours. Ripping up permits, people being kicked in the ribs, tear gas, etc. Where's all the proof?

From the video it doesn't look like what everyone has described, I wasn't there, so I don't know.

Sounds like there is something deeper here then police just deciding to rough up a bunch of kids.

What do you mean "they didn't portray it in the best light?" Everyone is claiming media biases and police biases, but these ravers have their own biases too. And are you surprised at the number of felony arrests they made at a rave? Let's not be naive here.

did you not read the official news coverage? that was pretty much 100% the police's side of the story by the looks of things. think someone pasted it in the thread about this in COR
