Tell me this, how hard is your life here really?? Do you live in fear of rebel armies waging war in your neighborhood?? Are you starving?? Do you not have clean water and a place to live?? Is your region of the country wrought with so much disease that if the militants don't kill you first some endemic disease will?? I really really doubt it. You seriously need to put all this crap into perspective before saying "OMFG!!! America is so horrible, the government broke up a rave!!!! OMFG!!!" |

i wonder if other primarily north american EDM forums have responded in a similar way as this thread. or is this really just a reflection of how TA is now...
i'll reserve judgement on the issue at hand till more facts are gathered...but i really don't see how they can justify using such means to crack down on a rave. |

Umm, I've never heard anybody say that, and living in Portland (one of the most liberal large cities in the country) and having been to Seattle many dozens of times, I'm going to have to say that's pretty in' far from the truth. :conf:

| I just find it upsetting that all of the things that this country was built on. Equal Rights, Free Trade, Representation, Republic Goverment System, are starting to fall by the wayside in case you haven't realized the goverment at this point can hold you without a reason if they want to. They can do pretty much whatever they want. I don't like my civil rights being violated. AS far why don't i leave. I'm already working on it should be about of here in the spring. I'd just like to see the US go back to what it once was, a place where ideas where allowed to be discussed rather than crushed because our goverment didnt support them ie cloning, genetic research, peaceful demonstration, anti-war, etc. |

| Still, we don't even know what happened there. None of us, so far, has been there. For all we know that person who was on the ground in the video couldve pull a gun out or whatever. I was wrong to judge too quickly here. I think we're falling into a trap in this thread because we are forming opinions or validating previous ones based upon secondary sources. :nervous: |

They did indeed have the correct permits. The millitary personell ripped it from their hands. So not only did the Utah Sherrifs department use excessive force, they did so at a LEGAL event and lied about it, covering it up like they didn't have any permits.
Good thing they baught it by credit card and is traceable. |

I mean, you REALLY think that you live in the best country in the world, and nothing can be done to make it better?
Don't you see that you have your civil rights cut in a drastic way? It's obvious for the many of the people living in the rest of the world, and some of the yours. How can you be so blind? |

thats exactly whats goin on.
nothing has ever happened to most people on here.
so something like this is great way to explore how they might feel if they were in that situation.
and naturally behind the safety of their keyboars they see the negative.
no doubt some was wrong.
but quit whining and stamping the entire government in its light.
i hate first day of classes, so boring. |
