Well that’s your personal Opinion, and I do respect it, but won’t agree with you because My Opinion on Armin is Exactly Opposite! He always has, does and will rock my nights!

I also think the 9hr solo's have harmed him in the eyes of the real fans, his 9hrs have made some painful listening, and ive been to atleast two that i can remember.

So im not worked up, i just think that this man is a only a shade of his former self, and being trapped in Gods for 9hr with him would make me do my wrists.

Please do, because you're full of .
The real fans take music as they get it, they don't try to muppet the DJ to play their requests - I'm sure you'd love to slap the tracklist of your own to Armin, and say "play that"!
The opinion of 'most of this forum' as you put it is worth aswell then because none of you have been to the actual party, I suggest going to GK forums for real insight. I haven't been to Air often, but people say it's never been this full, so luckily there's people in UK that know better than you. But I've been to a lot of Armin parties and this one is right there on top, he played great, and whatever you write won't change that.

Anyway I'll have pics up soon.

I've been to Air more than 20 times & with the exception of NYE 03/04 thats easily the busiest i've seen it.

As for the night itself, awesome, i had a great time, certainly the best of the 3 solo's i've seen of Armins, & a night i won't forget in a hurry. :D :D :D

so you're basically saying the 'real fans' will worship armin whatever the he plays? i'm assuming you're not but it was pretty poorly put across.

i can't speak for others but the reason i didn't go was because i went to the last one at the same venue in february. the people i was with & many fans on here all said it was amazing, just like this latest one (& looking through recent asot tracklists i can't imagine it having improved a great deal in 7 months) i was trying to give the guy a chance, but i thought the majority of it was pretty (and i wasn't straight either)... so don't make assumptions

This is a stupid statement. Why would i pay £25 entry + travel and spends in the club to see a DJ, and then get him to play the same tunes i listen to at home? IMO hearing the odd classic, or tune u know is great, but i largly like sets to be made up of tunes ive never heard before, or hardly ever hear.

Right so you think the opinion of a non-biased site, which has no links to GK at all knows all, yet to find out the real deal, the true opinion, lets go to the Gods Kitchen forum... I wont even bother with that comment no further as i think the studpidity outlines itself enough.

Before you think im some never leaves the house moaning gimp, i started clubbing at 16, and spent near on every weekend of my life until i was nearly 19 at either Gatecrasher, Passion or Gods Kitchen, with some smaller clubs thrown in to boot. I even hit Trance Energy holland when i was 16, so im not a clueless wanabe. Ive heard the top DJ's spinning the top sets, and Armin used to be one of them. Armin used to be able to keep me on the dancefloor for his entire sets at Passion, Armin was awesome.

All the effort and spark which made him how good i thought he used to be seems to have evaporated - everything is all boring now. Dont you find it strange that all of a sudden the negativity towards Armin has all rose up within the same time frame? That'd suggest to me that many people like myself are all seeing, or should we say hearing the same thing.

Now this discussion is ultimately fruitless because we're arguing against each others opinions, and we're both entitled to them. I would try and step back from your current brown-nose Armin position and try and see the wood from the trees. You say the Gods forum has the real deal, did it occur to you that Gods may offer their members free entry and VIP passes in exchange for publicity and keeping the vibe on their forum saying things like "omg that was so amazing for x,y & z"?

I thought you had a good thing going there in post until I read that last statement, that just cracked me up.
Conspiracy Theory anyone ??
I happened to have met one person that works for Gods and let me tell you they'll give you anything before a free pass, hell man - Armin doesn't give me a free pass, and I traveled 1/2 way across europe, and I'm pretty sure I post a lot more than regular joe, so if they'd want to bribe people they wouldn't have them doing so on their own forum, but elsewhere, ie. spam.
Secondly, stuck in your belief you won't believe anyone that says it was a great night, but you'll just shrug it off no matter what, right? Anyway I don't care, I don't "argue" around here to make you change your music style, but to show you what a great time at party is, and music he played - was well approved by majority, hell read above, everyone said the club was sold out. I had to stand in 100m queue and got in after 30min., and that was at 22h
And once again, the music was great, and he mixed flawless just as "always". But if you don't like the music he plays, I don't know what you're doing in an AvB thread - before you start with 1999 vs. today speech, let me save you the trouble, I know it by heart.
I can appreciate then & today music, which you seem to can not.

Anyway pics as promised:

if i thought he could have pulled of a decent ending then i would. i thought ~2am-~5am last time was the best part of the night; he picked up the pace & played some pretty decent techy stuff i'd never heard before (with the odd classic thrown in there), after the first ~5 hours bored me silly. but when it came to putting the final hour or so together he seemed totally inept; structure went out the window & it didn't have that grand 'finale' feeling to it at all; had he pulled off a decent ending i may have looked back better on the night, but alas. actually to be fair, i didn't catch the entire ending due to falling asleep on the chairs beneath the stairs in the main room for about 15 mins ;)

but i honestly can't see how anyone could class a tune like that as a post-6am finisher. i think last time it was sarah mclachlan - world on fire.. same again. it's warmup music that needs playing before 12pm (when it's a trance night anyway). i can tell even if i'd enjoyed the few hours before, it's the ending that sticks & that would have made things pretty sour for me.
