"Evacuations by boat were halted after armed looters threatened medics and overturned one of their boats.
Widespread looting and random gunfire have been reported across New Orleans. Police told CNN that groups of armed men roamed the streets overnight."
If they act like that. Then let them rot. If that hurrican katrina page is as and bleeding heart as it sounds like it might.
I pose this alternate view.

that's what im hoping for, but it will only cause more unrest if they do start shooting the looters. cuz i bet you 90% of the looters are black! |

Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco warned rioters and looters late on Thursday that National Guard troops were under her orders to "shoot and kill" if needed to restore order.
"These troops are battle-tested. They have M-16s and are locked and loaded," she said. "These troops know how to shoot and kill and I expect they will."
