if it's *just* about the music, we could just stay home and turn our stereo up really loud.
for many, it's also about being with friends, in a big crowd, and having some interaction with the DJ in whatever capacity is possible. I for one love seeing a DJ up there having a good time, working the crowd, etc! Seeing someone bury their face in the decks and look like they're bored (unless they are doing a live PA or something) is kind of lame and kills a bit of the vibe. |

| cox is all about the music. Doesnt matter what he looks like... he could be a big fat black guy or a tall skinny blonde guy. The point is that his music will kick your ass every single time. And when he does interact with the crowd its to hype them up and get them going. And usually he does it with a microphone, not model poses and winks. |

the DJ doesn't have to be HOT, lol...that's just a bonus in Armin's case :D
I just like seeing enthusiasm...in whatever form the DJ prefers...model poses, smiles, the occassional blub on the mic (a la Tenaglia)...anything.
I prefer someone who appears to be partying WITH the crowd as opposed to just doing a job without so much as a smile on their face! |

In all honesty can you blame him....look at the money tiesto is making.
I don't like Tiesto....not because of his mainstream friendlyness but simply the music he spins...just not my style.
If Armin does go the way of Tiesto I am sure he will still spin better choons....there will just be a monkey act following him. |
