I don't think Armin will ever turn to the dark side..
he enjoys his work too much and just seeing him at LOL ptoves just that... he signed my effing wallet!!! not to mention that he continueously thanked the crowd for their support... and he is pretty high up in the ranks... so i am very sad that you feel this way... but i guess everyone has a right to their opinion... so i am not mad or upset just a little shocked to hear such thngs said about the great Armin Van Buuren..

Jay, there are more dimensions to a DJ set than just the music, as you indeed mentioned in a subsequent post.
You don't have to appreciate all of them. For some, crowd interact plays a factor, for some, NOTHING but the music does.
Just because one longs for a wicked ass smile on a DJ, or that he or she is cute, or that he or she interacts very enthusiastically with the crowd does not mean one wants a pop concert (though I'm sure you were just using that comparison to be extreme...) I'm just commenting that it shouldn't' be implied that I enjoy a ing top-notch DJ set any less than you or anyone else even though the DJ's interaction and vibe plays an important part in my over all impression of the set or DJ him or herself. (Obviously if your music sucks ass to me I don't care how well you interact... and obviously if you dont interact worth but have the best tunes and transitions and timing ever, I will still very much love that DJ and his/her set.)
For me, since I am there at the club in person (ie. not listening to a recorded set at home or in the car or wherever), many other factors influence the quality of my experience.
The vibe I get off the DJ plays a solid role. And IMO, I love no other DJ's vibe more than Armin's. It's what seals the deal for me and makes him #1 in my books.
Armin for Life.
