Hey I remember that. I thought it was really cool and original and was hoping you'd get some well-deserved Armin Attention.

Yup, I figured this would happen.

Hey guys...shouldn't it be about the music? Or perhaps the vibe?

I personally don't care if *insert rockstar DJ here* looked at me, talked to me, touched me, or wanted to have hot dirty sex with me. I care about how the music and vibe is shared...and being part of the journey and passion of a good set.

Honestly, Armin could have wanted to be my best bud but all I'd say to him is where was the passion? It's nice to see other people enjoy themselves but I prefer the vibe to be genuine rather than a bunch of people excited that the rockstar winked at them.

I'm sure Armin has very very good PR (just like Tiesto) but I think this time we got even worse than sloppy seconds (3rd performance in one weekend I think). Please like Armin because you liked his set. I personally didnt because it lacked passion but I suppose other people did.

(for those who know Fosse...)
DON'T LET THEM RAZZLE DAZZLE YOU!!!

I beg to differ that he played without passion.

No, I was not there but I watched the whole thing (ALL OF IT) live on ETN and was in the chat. There were people from all over the world in that chat. Nearly all of them had said "Wow, I wish he played with this much intensity when I say him. How come Toronto always gets the killer shows?"

I thought he was having a great time. I thought he played well. To me, that is passion for the music.

100% true.

Its not JUST about the music. if he just stood there and played it woudl be boring. the VIBE would suck! Part of the experience is feeling the energy and vibe from the DJ which includes him looking at you etc.

I really dont think anyone is going britney spears crazy over him, so the fact that he could make people feel the way they did is awesome and made the night better.

its all great you want to be trendy and be all about the music and not care about the dj, but they are one of the most important parts of the show.

IT IS about the music. If he just stands there and plays and there is no vibe in the room, then his music obviously sucks. A good DJ doesnt have to wink and do god poses in order for the room to have a good vibe. A good DJ lets the music do the talking. If you want a concert, go to the ACC. If you want a good party let the music take you there.

Hahahhahahhahah Michelle wins this thread

you guys are all arguing the extremes...like the DJ's attitude, movements etc. either don't matter AT ALL or are a HUGE part of the vibe.

it will be different for everyone, but I think it's UNDENIABLE that the DJ, apart from the music, contributes to the vibe...simply by virtue of crowd reaction.

anyone disagrees, then watch what happens when ANY DJ puts their hand up, does something funny, jumps up and down, smiles, whatever. What happens? The crowd responds. That's an undeniable contribution to the overall vibe in the room. Whether YOU as an individual care or not about what they did has far less of an impact then how the hundreds (or thousands) who DO respond react ;)

so you can say YOU don't care...but many people do...and that affects the vibe (unless 1000 people suddenly jumping up and down or screaming is easily ignored by you, lol).
