| Anyone ever lose a pet? I just lost my cat of five years. I'm pretty sure a wild animal killed her. Been 3 days without a trace totally sucks. I guess if you really love your cat you shouldn't let them out at night no matter how much they cry. :( |

sorry to hear that dude. it sucks when any of your pets die, Sometimes I tell myself: don't get to attached to the new pet, because when it dies.. you'll cry again :(
at home we had to put 2dogs (spread of 5years) down because they were ill, and now we have a new one.. but he's ill too.
i'm not really a cat-lover but,I know how it's like to lose a close-pet |

i have a cat and its in my country house for 2 weeks now and i miss him. We don't let him out at night there, but he sometimes returns very late and is being let out early in the morning. When he's here in the city, we don't let him out (we live on the 1st floor of a block of flats)

I lost a pet a couple days ago.. I was feeding my firebelly newt the other day, and I forgot to put the top of his box back on. The next morning he was gone!! AHHHH
I have no idea where he went, but they can't survive too long without water :nervous: |

sorry to hear that, IGK... it sucks losing a pet. i had 2 cats that died when i was a kid, one from old age and one got hit by a car. i didn't cry until i saw my mom wrap the kitty up in a blanket and it was laying there all limp. after that we always kept our cats inside.
i've also lost 2 cats i was very attached to when i broke up with ex-boyfriends. i've considered getting another cat but i'm just not home enough to give it the attention it would need. |

thx everyone for the kind words, I'll post some pics of her.
She was an overweight indoor cat, so when I moved back to my parents country house I was happy to see she liked going outside. She was a great companion to my mom used to follow her around the yard, watching her garden. She never ventured far from the house and came in at night. Unfortunately she was declawed by previous owner which must have factored in her demise. A special cat I will miss. |

our cat is really shy, and when we have visitors staying for a few days we don't see the cat until they leave. give it a few more days, i think she will be back soon.
if you haven't - put some catfood on a tray and leave outside and check now and then if someone's been eating from it. could be squirrels and , but at least it gives you hope. |

| I threaten my cat that ill skin him for a fur rug & then roast him for dinner. His reaction is to look at me & meow & then jump up on my lap to fall asleep. |
