And this posting is coming from a moron with 5W speakers? What does my drinking and retirement pay have to do with sound to begin with? Everyone can spend their money on whatever they want to. Rims, sound, and beer fit my lifestyle. You can spend your hard earned dollars on homosexual whores like you normally do for all I care. Now post something worthwhile about your own personal sound system or STFU...

And that's rated at 60 watts but I'm sure my sound is much clearer then what you get out of your bass bins
:p

I should soon have an all portable rig for the portable dvd player with an external dac amp for added control on my grado headphones ( considering an upgrade to some Sennheisers or Beyer Dynamic )

It may not be loud but I certainly consider my equipment closer to Reference then what you are running.
If you were running some good quality stuff I wouldn't bulk at your setup but logitech :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:

Clovis, PLEASE close this thread...

For further petty squabbling (by a lot of folks who also probably don't know what they're talking about, but like to sound like they do) over sound issues concerning headphones versus this or that, please see: link

That is all... :p

meh it is pointless telling him these things, since he cant compare quality and loudness. There are many people that have the same mentality when it comes to hearing. If their ear drums are blowing up to them thats a good sign for quality.:wtf:

Yeah it's true that trying to show him how it's really done never seems to work out cause he likes garbage. :(

He's never been able to prove his stuff was quality he just mentions it's powerful but whatever rocks his boat just like that 20 inch dildo up his arse.

I second this. I bought a set of these a few weeks back and I love them. Can't beat a 3 year warranty either, if you use them alot.

I'd also like to add I have no problem with someone wanting a powerful setup but if they are running some install that's barely more calling then a My First Sony product I can't possibly give them any respect!

Good quality bass can be achieved but for QUALITY you must be putting money and not some gimp ( no pun intended ) surround sound in a box install. I bet that so called 300 w stuff he runs is rated 50 watss rms tops.

This may sound obvious but make sure you keep them in their case!

The plastic on the outside of the earbuds can split from the rest if it's under pressure..... happened to me ... but sitting in a backpack crushed by tons of stuff didn't help.
Thankfully the piece just came off and didn't break into different pieces. Glued it back on youhou :D

Right now I keep them on my computer desk beside me, jacked into the control unit for my Klipsch speakers. When I really want to get into the music (or at night) I just switch over to the headphone jack and put the Shure on.

Closer to reference=barely audible and no THUMP. That's what I take your sorry ass system to equate to. I don't see why I should assume otherwise. Sheer Power=Power. You've heard this over and over again. If I'm playing at 500W with a few minor bumps knocking off of shelves, then WTF cares? Apparently only you with 5W headphones... and, oh yes, reference? Why don't you reference a suck ass audio system?
