terry barker, its simple because your attempt sucks compared to manuel's. your not even halfway close. get it right then you can say its simple kthnx.
Axolotyl, did you even read the post's those quote's are directed at? everything you quote'd was directed too two people. two smart ass dip's who aren't trying to help, their trying to make themself look good. |

Yes I did read them, and I really can't see how they were trying to make themselves look good. They were offering their opinions like anyone would on a 'reverse engineer this sound thread' regardless of if they were right or wrong. They were not rude to you in any way and were actually taking time out to try and help you. In turn, you had absolutely nothing intelligent to say back to them and the best you could come up with was insults. You really are very immature.
I stongly suggest you re-think your attitude towards people before you post any threads again on this forum. I hardly imagine you'd get many serious replies anyway after this spectacle.

I'm just being realistic. Terry Barker's attempt sucked. EveryMan's attempt sucked. Dannib's attempt will suck. StoryTellers attempt will be the worst of them all.
If you want to say it's not hard to create and its just a simple lead, I say prove it and show us or stfu. |

The original sound you posted also sucks. It sounds like someone blew a raspberry and applied some pitch correction to it. What's your point?
Believe it or not I know exactly how that effect is done. The Waves bundle has a DirectX plugin that can do it. But if you think I'm going to tell you which one after reading through this thread... hah.
The point is, you have no excuse for putting people down if they don't give you exactly the results you want. The polite response (and the only response that will not make you look like a complete tool) is "Thanks guys for all your help, but the effect I'm trying to get is more __________ and less ___________. Does that make sense?"

You obviously dont know exactly how it was done because that effect at the end was not done with any plugin from the Waves bundle, it was all Virus C with no external effects. kthnx. |

Who cares if a sound is done entirely on the Virus or has external fx applied? It's results that count, and if you don't understand that then you're going to get nowhere as a producer.
Cripes, how is a 12-year-old able to afford a Virus C anyway? The dude must have stolen it. :haha: |
