Virus C sound, how is this made? (pg. 6)

Reduce the detune at the end and youre gonna have a very nice lead....
Im gonna try to do the sound tonight on my virus C......im at school right now so I can just think about what im gonna do... |

I must say I did add just a little too much depth to that flanger! lol
I changed the velocity of some of the notes, and a simple filter in/out automation on the pro53. I did infact automate the resonance aswell just a little. But that detuning is all flanger.
edit: I cleaned up the bass a little, and made the detuning more subtle. (Changed one of the notes so it sounds better too! lol)

Reason Combinator JP patch. Automated the mix rotary (crossfade from saw to supersaw) and some filter automation. |

| This is a really really interesting thread. I sat here for 30 mins reading all of this..lol. Anyways..terry i loved ur attempt..better than what i can do. Im wondering...if all you guys knowing how to program your synths and all...maybe u guys can help me as well? Im tired of modifying presets to my liking..i just wanna make my own patch of something. When i try...i end up messing up..by making the sound...poopy sounding. |

| So what exactly do you want us too tell you lol? Try learning what your tweaking does, instead of just turning knobs randomly. Know how you want to change the sound. |

Hey thanx for the comment, as mystical ninja said is tru however starting out u twist random knobs to see what effects what. You learn a routine and experiment with different synths / sounds. Eventually you jus know what to tweak to make a certain sound or effect. Its all about finding your way, mess around a bit first then it will come to you after time. |
