It's such a basic sound, yet I'd be willing to bet you couldn't make a decent recreation if you tried all week.

| About the sound from post number 1. it's a preset in one of the soundsets that I got loaded in my virus c.....(Or it's like 95% that sound ) I remember playing around with that sound before, except the decay was set dieferently... so the accuall preset sounded longer more string like.. But after using the decay to shorten the lenght of the sound it's just like that.. plus detune at the end..... |

Pehaps you are emotionally unbalanced or something, but its you who were being the smart arse. They were claiming the sound was simple which is an objective opinion about sound engineering. You for some reason seemed to take this personally and resorted to... 'your attempt is going to suck'... 'your full of ' etc...
Pathetic newbies like yourself are what makes this forum suck balls and stop the actual experienced producers from posting more often. Try shutting your mouth and learning from people more experienced than yourself before you start criticising and insulting their efforts.

OK, if you were being realistic and logical, you would see that they all seemed to be able to produce a sound that was closer to the example than you seem to be able to, regardless of how much you thought it 'sucked'. Hence, regardless of their efforts, they are all more experienced than yourself. What does that tell you? To me that says you'd rather flame people on forums for fun than actually share in information and learn how to program a synth. I really just hope you'll get bored of production soon and go away. There are much better places to talk on this forum, try the CORe, you'll be a real hit there, I swear it!

First off, I dont care about you or your silly little sound regardless of how complicated or simple it is. The only reason I got involved in this thread is because you seem to be an idiot and need someone to actually point this out to you.
And second, I dont spend my time reverse engineering overused, cliched sounds. I'd much rather spend my time producing or at the very least, programming something original. Even if I did, do you seriously think I would want to waste the time to prove to you that I can do it? For me to do that, I'd actually have to have a token ammount of repect for you and guess what? Theres none of that.

Did I claim otherwise? No. Did they're attempt's suck, being far from the original? Yes. Hence why Terry cannot say it's a simple sound without making him an idiot. As for Dannib and StoryTeller, If they want to talk about the sample and keep going on about how it's just a simple lead, they need too show us or STFU. They're obviously all talk.

Not quite spot-on with the notes, and it doesn't sound quite right either, but here's what I made using pro53 and a flanger. Not exactly following your rules, but I think this shows that you CAN use a flanger in order to get this effect. Either way, the sound needs to be detuned in order to get this sound.

| That sound right there might not be the exact as the other one, but I like this one more...it has a unique character to it. The other one sounds too common. I have heard it so many times and yet, I cannot pinpoint exactly where. I will have a go at it Wednesday when I get off this damn airfield. Nice patch...detuning was harsh but I liked it, hehe! :) |
