As the voting stands now, Urban Train seems like it will take the prize. Urban Train is a great track, and was a huge hit this year, but NOTHING topped Rapture.
It's unusual when there are people that love EVERY REMIX of the song, Stephane & Creamer K, Deep Dish, Riva, AVB, all these remixes were being listened to by different groups of people. Just like Delerium - Silence (Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise Remix) will go down in Trance History as one of the major classics, so will Rapture.
So although Urban Train is a masterpiece, Rapture topped Urban Train through its innovation, vocals, remixes, and simply public appeal.

Iio - Rapture all the way, the reason for voting this one is only cuz of the remixes, i personally havent even heard the original as of yet :p
But every single one of the remixes are absolutely amazing! :D |

obviously urban train!
this is one of the few songs that doesnt get old (to myself at least) from overplaying (by myself), far from mediocre!
and the original of rapture is terrible!, the only two trancy mixes are the avb and riva |

GUYS!!!! Rapture and Innocente aren't trance... anyway i still voted for rapture... i think i would've went for Innocente if it was the "Deep Dish Gladiator Remix"... and i believe the best remix for rapture is the "John Creamer and Stephane K Remix"... dont like AVB's
and y isn't "4 Strings - Into the Night" up there?? are there any remixes to that track??

Looks like I'm one of the last to vote and it lookes like 'Urban Train' has won by a landslide.
I hadn't voted in the previous rounds and was a bit shocked that Push- 'Legacy' wasn't there, that's my track of the year.
From the list I had to go for 'Dreamland' but 'Rapture'(Creamer & K mix) wasn't far behind.
'Urban Train' was average Tiesto, I think it got so much attention because this was the year when Tiesto became one of the biggest DJs out there. It was the right track at the right time but I don't think in ten years time 2001 will be remembered for this track. |
