let's all think of creative metaphors which can be applied here. |

Well from what they keep showing on the news, I highly doubt this has a chance in hell of passing.
Interviews with club owners are stressing the same things everyone has said here - banning hip-hop nights is a very band-aid solution to a much larger problem.
As much as I am not a fan of hip hop, it's very assuming to correlate the two (music, violence) and then only attempt to get rid of the former as opposed to the latter.
Like sure, I can live without hip hop nights but I can live a lot better without the the worries of guns and violence in clubs ************ of the genre of music. |

dude that was amazing
but i don' think it's a good idea to ban any kind of music though
cause the violence doesn't come up from the music they listen to ,it all happens cause of poverty, and rasicm problems. |

As much as I agree that banning hip-hop nights is only a band aide solution....I think it has to start somewhere. You have to find a way to get the illegal guns off the street and that should be the first step is finding a way to do that. It's not a coincidence that there is gun violence outside hip hop clubs.....if it takes banning the music from clubs to prevent innocent people from getting shot then so be it....the few low lives out there ruined it for the others. I am all for this...until the people can learn to respect others then drastic measures need to be taken...it is like grounding your kid.
People in the rave scene lost the rights to have their raves. The only reason the music we love is still around is because it was brought into the clubs and the scene got cleaned up because of it.
When the hip hop scene finally cleans itself up then it came come back to the clubs....in the meantime....let them party out in the forest. |

until that same arguement is used against the music you like in the form of anti-drugs. |

They need to get to the core of the problem. Certainly music is not causing the actual outbursts and gun-downs. These kids are troubled, and they are getting guns. I have a big WTF to that alone.
Guns are too easy to have, and that needs to be changed. Why on earth does anyone other than a police officer and a hunter need a gun? Honestly? I don't get it.
And these kids need something, I don't know what, but something that will stop this anger. Why are they so angry and territorial? Studies should be done, and action should be taken to prevent these attitudes.
Taking the music away will do nothing in the long run but enrage people who feel their freedoms have been grounded. Not a bright idea, since this will cause more anger.
Anyway, these politicians are idiots and short-sighted. They need to look at the big picture and work from there. |
