Banning guns will not do a damn thing. The guns are not legal guns anyhow...if illegal guns are getting into the hands of these idiots then they still will if you ban guns.
Death Penalty to All that Listen to Hip Hop :D |

Way to set precedent... What genre of music shall we ban next? |
werd! You can't go and put restrictions on a certain genre of music just because the listeners of that music can't distinguish entertainment from reality. Granted, I am not a fan of hip hop but banning it is a) unreasonable and b) unconstitutional. Next thing you know they'll ban punk because punk fans tend to practice civil disobedience, then EDM because we're all drug fiends, then metal because all the head bangers are suicidal, and finaly country because all the country fans are drunken hillbillies. , where does it end? |

until that same arguement is used against the music you like in the form of anti-drugs. |
Well I don't think I am too worried about someone doing a drive by pilling.
This has already happened with EDM and the rave scene. Part of the reason the raves were stopped was because of the drugs.
I'm sorry but until these people learn to respect others then they must be punished. If stopping hip hop nights will allow me to feel safe walking down the streets of Toronto at 2:30 then I am all for it.
Most of these people come from middle to upper middle class families. If anyone thinks that the music does not have a factor in these actions then you have to be out of your mind. We all try to be like the people we admire. If 50 cent is out there talking about capping someone's ass then the kids are going to think that is cool. When you get a bunch of kids who think the same way together then it doesn't take much for one of them to be convinced to do it. It is amazing what peer pressure can do.
How many of us tried a drug for the first time because our friends tried it. I don't think many of us just woke up one morning and decided hey I think I am going to go to the club tonight and pop a pill. |

It is not banning the music...let them play the music in their houses or go and have your bush parties so when the cops show up they find a bunch of dead hip hoppers because they all shot each other because it is cool.
Hey if you can ban smoking from any public place then why not ban hip hop....it is pollution to my ears :D |

Before anyone passes judgement on this you have to understand the History with Sam Merulla. He definately has a hidden agenda. This guy is such an attention whore. He is attracting media with his renegade proposals on a number of issues.
My guess is that he will be running for mayor or some other higher position in the next few elections.
City councillors should not be this engaged with the media. He's interviewed more than the mayor. WTF. |

everyone will walk around hugging each other.
