first time in forever i wasnt in the mood for breaks so no comment from me (richelle nice meeting ya, sorry about me dissapearing right away, i have a good explanation)
im not gonna go into the details, this was the best night i ever had in the guv all thanks to nathan barato. john aquaviva was really good (really really good), manzone and strong were as usual (read :ing awesome), carl cox delivered like a mother****** but the best set of the night, best vibe of the night, best everything was nathan's set. i was with a large group of frinds and everybody agrees, nathan barato killed. awesome guy, mindnumbingly good dj. awesome.
im going to be
nathan barato ruled guv complex |

Okay. A bit awake now.
Got in around 11. The KH (non guestlist line) moved faster than Guv (guestlist line). WTF? Thanks Christina for your hospitality and Julie for getting me in.
Mark O was playing a good warm up, housey set that was getting the crowd grooving. Typical Mark O. Good mixing, good track selection. 8.5/10
Went into Guv to see Loco Dice. After 30 mins of listening to this guy, I realized that I heard pretty much same thing with little variation. So I went back to KH. 2/10
Had no clue who Lee Burridge was but he played some techy stuff. Did well enough to keep the crowd entertained, but odd mixing here and there. 6.5/10
At one, went back to Guv to hear Ritchie Hawtin and what he was all about. Mixing wise I thought he was solid, (but now I hear he was using Ableton so I guess I change my mind) his 'minimal' techno stuff you can only listen for like an hr max before you get bored. Interesting stuff though. 7.5/10
Back to KH to hear Timo Maas. Another guy I've never heard. More techy stuff, though a bit faster and more varied. Was mildly entertained. 8/10
3:30 arrived and since I've never seen Carl Cox before, back to Guv I went. Stayed for about 20 mins because I didn't want to play 'You're a Human Sardine' game. Almost suffocated due to the heavy amount of people jammed in. Besides, I heard pretty much techno/tech ish stuff all night long and wasn't really in a mood for more, even if it was from Carl Cox. Did look like Carl Cox was warming up to a really good set. Would have loved to hear him. Next time it is.
At 4, Ferry. Hay joos Kristo.
The word was passed around and the people came to the hallowed ground. As the sound encompassed, the ethereal bliss that was trance surrounded the ears and the minds. The passion, enraptured in overwhelming bliss, we were all equally blessed as we jumped and lifted our hands high in respect to the DJ who made us feel this this way.
My 3rd time seeing Ferry and he kicked ass. Best set I've heard from him in a long time. Only stayed until 7, but it was awesome 3 hours.
First hour was newish tunes that I mostly haven't heard. Did I hear some new remix of Solid Globe - Sahara? 2nd was more of his typical tracklist. The main melody of Moonman - Galaxia still sends shivers down my spine everytime I hear it live. 3rd hr was more techy but oh so lovely. Had wonderful time. 10/10
It was awesome meeting more new TAs. People actually wanted to know who the guy in a TA shirt was. :D Front and centre baby. It's the TA way.
Tune of the Night: Coldplay - Speed of Sound (Steve Porter remix) So insidiously good.
Overall: 8/10
PS: I am about fingernail with away from starting a 'Put a ing Shirt on Alliance':whip: |

the last I spoke to her, they were dancing to Danny's set next to Chus (of C&C fame) whilst scoring free tickets to see Calderone this evening. Undecided whether or not they were going. |
