Up to now nobody bashes Armin,

Soooooo.... do you even read TA?

:o

In almost any MD thread concerning anything Armin related there's about 3/4 of it just rambling and bitching about how he sucks so bad.

Now, most of the threads about Armin are sugar against the threads about Tiesto or PvD ;) with lots of "I hate Tiesto" threads out there. Now, in the next year that will change and you will see more "I hate PvD" threads instead. The higher the popularity the more such threads. "much enemy, much honor"

He does suck so bad. I never, ever, ever, got the whole Armin thing. He plays a style I like to term 'Circular Trance'. No highs, no lows... just seemingly one track spinning round and round and round until he beat matches perfectly into an incredibly similar sounding track that spins round and round and round. You could tune out for half an hour and when you tuned back in, you'd think the same track was still playing.

Having said that, Boundaries of Imagination rocked.

In defense of Armin: no, definitely not. He has lots of highs and lows in his live-sets in clubs and that is what matters (not those pre-recorded "live-sets" from the studio). Also the ASOT is okay mostly. His tunes, however, are quite monotonous. At that point I agree.

Thats not bad at all, question of tastes i would say. There's not a rule saying how he has to mix.

Well, this is definitely a difference in taste. I just saw him earlier this week and he rocked it. I will agree on his productions.... I mean... just.... echhhhh. But his mixing skills are fairly in tune, his track selection doesn't really let you down if you are at all interested in his music.

Oh, and Boundaries of Imagination does r0x0rz my b0x0rz.

so you think its a popularity contest? then how does it come, that the tranceddict top 10 list will look like nearly the same as dj mag top 10 list? (its my opinion! I think there won't be much difference)

do you really think, TAs don't care about skills??

Defenately agree! Just check out the ASOT threads every week! Armin should defenately win this year!

i hope Tiesto gets knocked off the NO1 spot and bring his bloody ego down with him as well..

i think Armin Van Buuren is a good Dj..i like his style and the tunes he plays.....not too keen on his recent productions tho...

id like to see somebody who deserves the no1 spot get it....for there hard work and touring rather than fan figures
